We are home, I’ve unpacked, and have been sorting the washing. Fortunately I think it’s nice here next week and I’m not back at work.

Love a barbecue. Stopped at some of DH’s relatives on the way down. I’m not sure how many people they were expecting but I now don’t need to eat for a few days so there’s no need to save me a burger Apricot.

Evening. We have beached and, um... chilled and stuffed our faces and Mlle Elk has tried out SaturdayMorningSportingActivity We are all a bit knackered now, and DCs are still in various stages of being shovelled into bed/bedtime stories etc...

Just as well as I was so busy in the hayloft. If I hadn’t been, I’d have had to listen to the music from next door (parents obviously away) from just after midnight to 8.30 this morning. Managed to get a bit of sleep but I’ve been up since 7 as I couldn’t get back to sleep. Fuckwits. Caught up with Versailles though. Love Philippe and Marchal (well dur).

Usual Sunday stuff with extra laundry. Also need to make lists of stuff to get for DS2 for school - full new uniform, bag, stationery, etc. I’d sell my body to pay for it, but I’m not sure I’d get enough for even a pair of PE socks.

He came out just as DH was leaving and asked if we’d been able to hear it. DH said yes, all night. He was full of apologies and said if it’s too loud at any time, just go and tell him and hoped it hadn’t bothered us, DH said “no, it hadn’t”!!!! I shouted through the window from upstairs “it bothered me”. I couldn’t go outside at this point as I was half naked on the bed, with my hips in the air. Sadly no HBFs were involved, I was doing my physio.

Went to see AT at the theatre last night - was very funny, if very dark with a few ew moments. Am trying to summon the energy to do something, but it's too hot & I AM FECKING SICK OF IT All this heat is good for is lounging round a pool with hbfs in attendance. As I have neither a pool nor any hbfs the weather can, frankly, do one.

DS1 is severely trying my patience.
