Morning wenches

We lost WiFi and 4G and signal last night. Then no power at all this morning. Power back on but no WiFi and 4G is patchy.

Blitzing update: upstairs done; downstairs... not so much.

Hello wenches, yes we’re safely installed. DH drove all the way so I didn’t have to kill him. It’s warm but cloudy here.

The wifi and signal here are useless. IPad won’t do anything so I’m on the phone which seems to be ok at the moment.

We put a barbecue together this morning which DS has kindly bought and donated to the caravan. He’s coming here with GF’s family next week and I think he wants to —show off— be able to do a full meal instead of using those disposable things.

We went into the village this afternoon and had the obligatory Magnum sitting on the sea wall.

It’s been Carnival Day in the village; we drove through this morning and the residents and houses were all dressed up. One group had built the front of a Viking boat bursting out of their house and were dressed up to match. It was like walking into the TV programme.

We’re going out for a meal later.

We’ve pottered about this morning, then DH and the DC went swimming and I went exploring. There are far too many unnecessarily steep streets in mainnearbytown. I had to have an ice cream to help me get my breath back.

I’m having a cider from The Swedish Cider Company. Need to make a start on packing later.

Been watching Brandon Flowers’ interview and performance on Seth Meyers’ show a couple of days ago. Have just seen that Armie Hammer was on on the same show.

Watching a documentary about the emigration between mid 1800's to 1920's when 1,5 million Swedes emigrated, mostly to the USA. That was 1/4 of the population at that time! Wow! That's a lot of people!

Forgot to say, Paella did pop up earlier today . Was looking for a thank you gift and had been in quite a few shops already, went in the last one, having a look round, spotted something really nice and just as I did a Paella song came on. I took that as a sign to buy the thing —which I would have done anyway— and it made me happy.

We're being very well looked after at the Helens, they've made me sit down and drink wine and eat barbequed chicken all evening, I haven't found Helen's secret stash of hot men in leather yet tho....I shall resume the search after they've gone to bed.

Is all hot and sticky here, NIAGW. We did have a big rainy cloud appeared during tea, but it continued on its way without actually raining. Which was good (what with us having a BBQ) nd bad, because we could do with something to counteract the sun.

Elk and I have had a fun day out with the DCs, whilst MrHelen and MrElk worked from drank beer at home. Elk has now met Scruffy, who now tried to get under Chictoria's wing and just makes the poor hen look like a deformed hunchback
