That works on so many levels -
Take me said every wench to the HBFs of their choice
Take me dancing - well that would do, said every wench to the HBFs of their choice
Take me dancing naked - as long as you strip too, said every wench to the HBFs of their choice
Take me dancing naked in the rain - can we please, FFS have some rain here?

Welcome one and all to the new thread.

Pull up a barstool, pour a drink, state your preferences and order of FAF.

Herewith the obligatory HBF-in-the-rain GIF...

Now, get back and finish the last HBF thread off.... Grin

Evening wenches.

Just imagining having an HBF at one’s desk

There is that element of “aaaaaaand they’ve gone out - what can I get done?” Apricot Grin

A young Chris Pratt you say Helen?

Work was a bit better today

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 11/09/2018 21:19

Imagines having an HBF at my desk... awkward, it's an open plan office Blush
Maybe in the spare room office upstairs would be better.

Glad to hear that work was better today.

I have two desks. One is in a shared office (not by many though) but isn’t overlooked and the blinds close. I could wait till we’re alone and then wedge the door shut. The other desk is an office that’s overlooked by several other offices, can be seen into from the main road and car park and the blinds don’t work Grin. Thank goodness for options. —I may have given this a lot of thought—

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 11/09/2018 21:42

There's a thought - one of my offices is a relatively small room with blinds. Also, there's a walk-in cupboard... Grin How will I walk in there next time without smirking? Grin

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 11/09/2018 21:49

You won’t Grin. You’ll probably even giggle and no one will know why. I’ve spent time considering which wall would be most convenient because I don’t fancy lying on the carpet. I’ve discounted two because they’re shared walls, and a third one is only acceptable if the radiator isn’t on. The things I think of to get me through the day Grin

We’ve got football on. Whoop.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 11/09/2018 22:16

Hmm Fair point re the carpet. We have no wall space - they've all got desks and cupboards in front of them. or windows in them. Though there are the doors to the walk-in cupboard, or the fire door. and there's always the desks... Grin

Also had football here, though I'm giving up and heading for the hayloft. (via the tip of a kitchen...)

Night...

Night Helen. Yy, there’s always the desks

We’ve now got Shaun of the Dead on. Fab Grin

FancyFancy · 12/09/2018 07:40

Properly PMSL at all the thought that has gone into potential workplace shag places Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 12/09/2018 07:49

Well today I am in the BIG open plan office, and there are no opportunities there unless the entire building is guaranteed empty - which would be a bit freaky/zombie apocalypse territory tbh. Speaking of which - Sean of the Dead - love that film. Wonder if DS is old enough to watch it yet...

This morning the Stupid Cat is sitting on the chair behind me, so I still have no excuse not to move my backside and go to work. Sad

Morning wenches.

One must be —deluded— prepared Fancy

Cold, grey and rainy here. What’s happened to “warm weather staying until October”?

ApricotCrush · 12/09/2018 18:11

Evening. Not a bad day here, managed to get washing dry on the line. Not very warm though.

DH has brought in two big bags of damsons from a mate. FFS, I'm drowning in fruit. I've made a huge summer pudding with some of them and put the rest in the freezer for the next five years. Hmm

Hope everyone has had a good day.

LetUsPrey · 12/09/2018 18:22

Evening wenches.

Am Envy of your washing on the line Apricot. Did a little at in the freezer for the next five years.

Today at work I was very restrained at a dickhead on the phone who basically called me a liar and that I was making shit up re regulations. Fuckoffdickface.

So I am now in the kitchen —torturing DS1– singing along loudly to some music Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 12/09/2018 19:19

Evening. No exciting work news to report.

Today I got a bit of washing damp-ish on the line, as opposed to dripping (which it was last night after an additional rinse in the rain).

DH makes damson wine which is then very good for making mulled wine with. We had loads on damsons in the fridge, which I studiously ignored. I think they may have gone into the freezer now as well.

wicked when are you coming over for a visit? You can have a walking tour of 'Strike's London' where they 'show you London through Cormoran's eyes, and reveal the hidden history behind the buildings and locations that form his world.' I'm not sure if they get you drunk of Doom Bar for added authenticity... Hmm

OP posts:
WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 12/09/2018 20:40

Well I could take that tour, I'm arriving on Friday 21st Smile

LetUsPrey · 12/09/2018 20:48

You get a copy of the book with the tour - have you pre-ordered the book Wicked? I must order my copy. Squeeeeee at almost imminent arrival!!!!

Watching Upstart Crow. Ben Miller’s playing an actor called Wolf Hall Grin

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 12/09/2018 20:50

I already payed for it so don't think I'll take the tour. Have some other things planned. Can't wait to get away for a while!

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 12/09/2018 21:14

So, for the past few days I've been thinking that with DH out tonight, I'd watch Vanity Fair. Ha. Have had a nagging headache for most of the afternoon and the last think I feel like doing is watching TV. Or looking much at screens tbh. Sod's bloody law.

I'm going to retreat to the hayloft and report on Athos

Night all...

PS - DH has decided that Instinct looks good - I think that's one you're watching isn't it LetUs? So I may be able to blether about that with you in a few days years.

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 12/09/2018 21:24

“Things” sound fab Wicked WinkGrin

Make sure you’re thorough with Athos Helen. Instinct is good so far. Fairly formulaic but that’s not always a bad thing and, like I said, Alan Cumming is wonderful so that’s a big plus.

LetUsPrey · 12/09/2018 23:01

We’ve just watched episode 1 of Black Earth Rising - was on BBC2 on Monday. Absolutely bloody brilliant.

Going to have a quick YouTube and then head to the hayloft.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 13/09/2018 07:26

There's too much to watch on TV Sad can't fit it all in (obvs, can fit all HBFs in, that has nothing to do with TV)

New washing machine day today - woo hoo!!! though they haven't give us our promised phone call to give us a two hour delivery slot. And no email either.

Now, breakfast.

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 13/09/2018 07:45

Morning wenches.

I’ve only done two or three episodes of Knightfall, I’ve got six episodes of Sharp Objects to watch, and I’ve still got Rellik saved on the box thing. I think my previous record was about two years before I managed to watch a recorded programme. Grin

Hope washing machine arrives soon and with some actual notification.

Had yet another dream about work. That’s about the fourth one in the last two weeks forfucksactualsake.

ApricotCrush · 13/09/2018 19:01

Evening wenches.

DH has been working at DD's all day and has come home and given me chapter and verse on everything he's done. Argh!

Yes, too many things to watch at the moment. We've done 4 episodes of Knightfall. I couldn't get on with Instinct. Although I like Alan Cumming the language annoyed me, so we gave up on it after one episode. We finished Outlander Series 2 which was very confusing as it ended up covering three timeframes. Confused Haven't started Vanity Fair yet. Have other stuff on the box which I can't remember.

Must go and check on the dinner before it burns. Hmm

LetUsPrey · 13/09/2018 19:39

Evening wenches.

not sure how that’s revenge for MrChattyPants but it is.

Ordered a game for DS2 from Entertainment Exchange. It arrived today and I’d arranged for it be addressed to him. No game cartridge in the box. He’s really disappointed. I’ve emailed.

In other news, I’ve put the heating on.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 13/09/2018 20:18

Evening.

FFS at Entertainment Exchange

at MrA providing far too much detail about his day of DIY. I hope the usual tactics of "uh-uh..." "Hmmm." and "Mmm" were used while Apricot zoned him out...

I have a washing machine!!!!!!!!! It washes!!!! It's doesn't leave little shavings of disintegrating plastic mixed in with the washing!!!!! OIt doesn't make worryingly clunky noises!!! It does take bloody ages to do a wash though Confused

Other news - Scruffy (i must update you with a picture) is now nearly as big as Chictoria, and has started mixing 'cheeps' and 'clucks' together - highly entertaining.

Have been swimming with DS this evening, so no need to go on the stepper. Phew...

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 13/09/2018 20:25

He’s asked about 15 times in the last hour if they’ve replied yet, despite explaining time frames, etc. Don’t they realise what they’re putting me through?!

Ooooo at new washing machine! I get quite excited by new white goods.

Squeeee at Scruffy and Chicktoria

Speaking of washing machines, mine is beeping at me. Can’t be arsed.

I waaaannnnttttt HBFs in my houuuussse
