That’s a bugger about the washing machine. I think ours is a Zanussi. I can set a delay timer, it tells me how long’s left, and it beeps when it’s done - those were the only “extra” things I was bothered about. As long as it gets stuff clean, then I’m good.

DS2 came straight home after school and let himself in (my early finish day). He was quite pleased to get his own key

Afternoon. We went into Aber this morning but couldn't park on the front as there was some work going on. It's a terrible town to park in but we found a space on the high street that said (in Welsh and English, so a bit confusing) 9.00 to 1.00, one hour only. Fine. Came back 50mins later to find a parking warden putting a ticket on the windscreen. Apparently it was loading and unloading only, but it was rather obscure and we'd missed it. There were other cars there so they'd obviously made the same mistake as us. Fine of £35, so rather an expensive morning. I bet they make a fortune out of that. 😡

Hope your headache's better Helen. I'll remember that about washing machines, ours is very old.

Sneaky fuckers Apricot . The car park where I park for work (with a permit) catches a few people out (who don’t have permits). It’s pay and display but only at certain times but the information about this is in teeny writing on a sign that you drive past at the entrance, so they assume pay machine’s not working and then get a fine. If I see someone looking puzzled at the pay machine, I tell them and direct them to the nearest proper pay and display because I’m generally a very lovely person . I shall await my reward.

Remember a billion years ago DH was whining on about getting a new phone and asking loads of questions? He’s finally made a decision today. So we’re ordering it and he starts asking stuff again.
