That works on so many levels -
Take me said every wench to the HBFs of their choice
Take me dancing - well that would do, said every wench to the HBFs of their choice
Take me dancing naked - as long as you strip too, said every wench to the HBFs of their choice
Take me dancing naked in the rain - can we please, FFS have some rain here?

Welcome one and all to the new thread.

Pull up a barstool, pour a drink, state your preferences and order of FAF.

Herewith the obligatory HBF-in-the-rain GIF...

Now, get back and finish the last HBF thread off.... Grin

Evening wenches.

We're home and had a lovely time at the Cinema Museum fundraiser, in spite of forgetting stuff including phone chargers which was a worry as the train tickets were on mine Shock and I had used it a lot, getting lost and blistered feet.

To summarise Tom introduced one of his favourite films which was The Burbs with Tom Hanks and Carrie Fisher, which he said showed xenophobia at its worst and was a study of suburban masculine insanity. After we'd watched it he came back on stage and invited the audience to ask questions. The first few were about the film in which he said he had first seen part of it when he lived at home and got up early the next morning to see the rest. He thought the ending had been changed to make it more acceptable, he loved the performance of Rick Ducommun and had wanted to write a fan letter to him, but upon Googling him found he had died.

He was then asked how he knew about the Museum and said he used to live in the area. His favourite actors include Sofie Okonedo (which we know about from articles) and he would have liked to work with Lucille Ball. Asked if JKR was involved in Strike he said she was but trusted them with it. He would have liked to be in The Green Man, another favourite film is The Third Man, and he likes Alan Partridge. Asked which film he hated he named A Ghost Story. There was more, but although I could hear Tom's replies, I found it difficult to hear the questions, so it was a bit disjointed.

After this he went to sign posters for fans as an additional way of raising money for the museum. The event should have finished at 10pm but ran over by an hour as there were so many fans wanting autographs and pictures and chats. They were switching off the lights and trying to clear the place when I finally got to see him and snatched a quick photo.

All in all it was a good evening, the museum is fantastic and deserves to be saved, but I can understand how it is struggling as it is in a backwater in the area and sadly wouldn't be included on a tourist trail. Sad

LetUs. Go to bed at the same time as DS2 tonight - that's my plan tonight. In the meantime, have some prompts for you subconscious.

In twitter news, TB told people last night that the next episode of Strike wont be filmed until late 2019 - the book itself is out in a couple of weeks.

I read that Helen, at this rate he'll be drawing his pension by the time they finish the series.

LetUsPrey · 05/09/2018 21:02

Those pictures are certainly prompting something Helen

Flipping excellent write up Apricot! StarStarStar Very interesting to hear his comments about various things. I reckon you did such a good job with your reporting, particularly in the face of adversity (forgetting your phone charger —feels a bit faint—, blisters, things overrunning), that should qualify you for a press pass or something Grin

Looking forward to the new Strike book. Must get it pre-ordered.

I seem to have got a second wind as I’ve just been dancing round the kitchen. I won’t be fooled though. No siree, not me.

Is that price only if you buy it online or is it in the stores as well?

LetUsPrey · 05/09/2018 22:15

It’ll probably be on offer in store too. Disclaimer: I may actually be talking shite

Hang on, how did I end up in the hayloft? Oh look, at least I’ve had a hard landing Grin

Mornng wenches.

We're going to the caravan for a few days, it's all go here.

We have phone chargers, make-up and hopefully everything else we need. Will try to keep in touch.

Have a good day all. Smile

LetUsPrey · 06/09/2018 18:45

Evening wenches.

do you have comfortable shoes? If not, perhaps just recline, put your feet up, and wait for the HBFs to tend to your every need.

It’s nice in this cupboard. I like it. There are no lazy arse colleagues who do fuck all and never get pulled up about it.

DS1 managed to leave his homework behind this morning. Starting as he means to go on 🙄 Fortunately he was able to access it at college but should really have had the printed version ready. DS2 is loving science (this may be because he thinks he might get to blow something up Grin)

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 06/09/2018 19:28

We had a fabulous chemistry teacher who let us make exploding stuff and blow things up, though that wasn't until A levels - I think DS2 isn't quite there yet LetUs Grin

Have a lovely time - the reclining idea sounds excellent, I'd go with that.

DS left his outdoor shoes at home today. Despite them being sat right next to his school bag We also forgot his water. Oh well - we'll get back in the swing of it.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 06/09/2018 20:46

And we left his lunchbox at school - le sigh...

DH has the Vuelta on though the sky box is not at all happy, so it keeps jumping about and going pixellated.

LetUsPrey · 06/09/2018 20:49

That’s a relief Helen. The school should be safe for the next few years Grin

Also at MiniHelen forgetting shoes right next to his bag. Sounds ever so familiar. DS1 has been known to leave the house in his slippers and get halfway down the drive before realising.

I’ve found an episode of Father Brown I’ve never seen before. I’ll finish watching it and then I’ll get into my pyjamas.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 06/09/2018 21:48

iNCONVENIENT cAT HAS BEEN LYING ON MY KEYBOARD Grin so far he has inserted a row of 'dddddddddddddd' into a work document , hit the windows key, and turn the caps lock on.

I'm already in my PJs LetUs

Oh FFS - incoming migrainy visual disturbancy thingy. Can't actually see where my fingers are hittng on the keyboard

Hopefully it's just a hangover from yesterday... I'm off to the hayloft to look at the inside of my eyelids and wait for Athos to distract me...

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 06/09/2018 22:53

InconvenientCat sounds more than qualified to work at my place Helen.

Hope migrainey thing fucks off.

Has Fancy overdone the —thigh viewing— cycling?

We’ve watched part 3 of Bodyguard. Bloody hell, it’s good! Is there double crossing or not? Triple crossing? I just don’t know!

Athos likes the wiggling eyebrows and is on his way.

Speaking of wiggling (ish)....

There were some photos with that last post. They’ll probably pop up shortly.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 07/09/2018 08:05

I can see photos - and in fact the entire screen, which is an improvement from last night. Fecking migraine kept me awake from 1:30 - 4am I may not be on top form this morning Hmm

LetUsPrey · 07/09/2018 08:09

Poor you Helen with the horrible migraine Sad. Doctor Athos at your service
