I listened to Pam Ayres’ Desert Island Discs the other day. Was very good.

DS1 safely despatched to the bus stop. It’s the earliest he’s been up and out of the house for about 10 weeks.

DS2 has gone off now with his friend. They looked very cute and very small

I had a lie-in - hurrah. DH woke up and I suggested that he could get up, and stay up with DS. Now I am waiting for the washing machine repair man to diagnose why the machine is making horrible noises

Oh FFS.
The washing machine man has neither appeared nor called to explain his absence.
Yesterday's postponed activity with DS has been postponed again because he hasn't pulled his finger out and it's now too late in the day to be worth doing.
And Twitter is still reminding me that I'm not going to the cinema thing with Apricot tonight. So now I'm kicking myself for overthinking the whole bloody thing and I should have just gone for a giggle and catch-up with Apricot and MrA FFS.

Both DC have negotiated first days and journeys well. DS1 has three lots of homework but is excited to note a couple of late starts and early finishes. Although there’s no bus to tie in with the early finish so I suggested he’d be able to go and do studying. Confused. Or join some clubs. More confusion.

If the universe could right itself we'd have a multitude of HBF clones to meet our every need. It's a nice idea though... And good to hear that school/college went well.
