Was lovely to be back in a proper bed last night, so I did have a bit of a lie in today. Now need to rush around and get some chores done - what a way to spend a bank holiday!

We’re playing Cluedo. The only favourable aspect to this is that it’s Sherlock Cluedo.

I went and picked the raspberries and have made two summer puddings since I came home, one to eat and one to freeze. I'm now knackered and wish I had someone who would cook me a meal.

—Bored— Board ganes all done now. Managed to escape Game of Life and played Articulate instead. DH and DS1 gone to football so I’m supposed to be doing mine and DS2’s dinner.

Ironing still not done. I need to build up to that level of excitement.

I had a really weird dream last night as well but I don't remember any of it. Been restless all day, looked up restaurants in London online instead of working. Think it's blobrelated and I probably will be really tired tomorrow if the usual blob pattern repeats itself.

I picked raspberries too today - DS had friends over this afternoon, so I escaped from the bored games, and just yelled at them occasionally to play nicely when I heard a particularly shouty tone echoing down the garden to the raspberry patch. I have lobbed them all into the freezer for a jamming session later. (The raspberries that is, not the children. )

I quite fancy seeing Incredibles 2, but DS has forgotten about it - and also about the Teen Titans movie. Which is probably a bit of a result.

Now I need to work out why DS is still up, and rectify the situation without it turning into a massive drama.... Think kindly of me. (Apparently he will go to bed when he finds the lego pieces that he's missing.... )

I suggest lots of lying down tomorrow Wicked, either underneath, beside or on top of your HBFs of choice.

Have just checked the football score. DH and DS2 will not be having a good time. At least it’s not raining.

I don't want to go to work tomorrow I have zero enthusiasm for the entire concept (apart from the bit where they give me money for turning up)

I want to try out LetUs's idea of lying down with/under/on top of HBFs. Or at least spend an uninterrrupted day in bed, snoozing.

I should go to bed really. Or at least make it, that would be a start.

I really really don’t want to go to work tomorrow either Helen. It’s almost worse having a day off than a week or fortnight but I’ve no idea why.

I think it should be the law that the HBFs are provided at work.

Bit of a confusing day today. DH had arranged a delivery of wood and boards to DD's new house so he had to be there, but they decided that it would come from two different depots, one to be delivered between 9.00 and 12.00 and the other between 1.00 and 5.00 so he's been nipping back and forth all day. On top of that we had DGS and I had a heart scan this morning. God knows why, I had one in March.

Ooooh, we watched the first episode of Bodyguard last night. It's brilliant, Richard Madden doing his best impression of a young Arnie Schwarzenegger. Absolutely gripping.

I cannot believe we forgot about The Bodyguard here. Will get it off iPlayer and watch once we’ve caught up with Lucky Man and get to the stage where we have to wait a week between episodes.

She said a fortnight for the scan results, but you never know with the NHS.

I forgot Bodyguard too and picked it up off the iPlayer. About to go and watch ep2.

Have just remembered that DS2 is at the dentist tomorrow morning. At 8.15. Bollocks bollocks bollocks.

I'm not sure that Richard Madden doing his best impression of a young Arnie Schwarzenegger is a compliment? My recollection of a young AS is acting that would he could be out-acted by a wooden spoon?

Work was urgh. Still, it was mostly busy so that's something, but the database was running like a slug for the morning - very tedious.

The comparison possibly related more to the action than the acting? Not seen it yet though. Later this week for us I think.

It would make sense to go to the hayloft earlier than usual but I want to have my nightly pootle on YouTube and DH is still watching tv next to me.

Lots of people back from holidays at work today, so the office was a bit more lively, which was good. The actual work was a tad frustrating in the afternoon & my brain was beginning to fry - feel like I'm brewing a cold FFS.

Boo to early dentist appointment - fingers crossed for less traffic.

Also fingers crossed for quick results apricot, although not too quick - it's almost worse when they turn up so quick you worry that it must be bad news!

Just started watching an interesting programme on BBC1 called The Truth About Looking Good. They’re testing moisturisers to see if they’re any good. The reporter was at a cosmetic counter and there was a moisturiser that was £700 a pot! And it wasn’t a terribly big pot either.

Oh look, DH has gone to bed. Quick YouTube and then hayloft.

I don't like Real Life. The holiday version with no work and fun activities with DS & DH and no x-box was much nicer.
