I finally contacted the dentist last week and they sent me an appointment, the day after a return from London, I've alreadt taken the day off and I'm planning to stuff my face with goodies from London, not going to the dentist ffs. So I'm totally changing that appointment.

We have gluts of tomatoes and courgettes and marrows. We're out for most of tomorrow, but I think I'll be doing a mass batch cook-up of tomato soup on Monday. Exciting stuff!

Am back home. Had a very lovely evening and night. Lots of food, drink, chat and laughter.

Have started watching Instinct on Sky Witness with Alan Cumming in it. Nothing startling so far but I love Alan Cumming so it’s fab.

Domesticity here too. Tidying, ironing, etc, the usual spine tingling excitement of a Sunday. No sportingactivity to chauffeur DS1 to today. Actually, he’s stayed at friend’s house last night, DH is taking DS2 swimming so I’m alone and don’t need to be going anywhere. I may seize this opportunity and have a peaceful bath. I’ve got a copy of This Is Going To Hurt which my LittleSis assures me is very funny so I’ll start that.

Unless of course some HBFs can think of a way to distract me

Going to have a brew and watch a bit of tv before doing something productive like —my jigsaw— the ironing and steering DS2 towards finishing his homework.

We are back, and slumped in front of the Grand Prix. I might have changed into PJs and dressing gown... The plan is for a family film afternoon. I may not be able to stay awake.

Great excitement on FB - some of the S1-2 Musketeer doubles' costumes are being sold by a costume house. Consensus being that they are overpriced for stuff that was only worn by the doubles and not the actors (no cloning opportunities there then and besides, does anyone want the feathery/strokey S1-2 Dog?
Also the hats aren't the right ones.

Evening. We've had our heating on in the mornings and evenings for over a week now. Depressing.

Well, I've done sod all today. I was going to get some more raspberries from the allotment and make a summer pudding, but it's been pissing it down all day. DS and Co are at the caravan again so they won't be picking any and I hate to see them going to waste. Maybe tomorrow...

After watching football this afternoon, DH is now watching highlights (I use the term loosely) on MOTD2. Sod that, I’m disappearing back into YouTube

Well that was a rather enjoyable hour or so with Mr Flowers. My face is like this and we’re off to the hayloft to continue the fun.

I got four questions right, truly, I am a genius Then I went to bed and had bonkers dreams about over-ordering fancy dress costumes for a maze challenge. 200 yeti outfits arrived in a bag as big as our house. and there was another outfit where 20 arrived instead of about 2. I really have no idea what that was about I mean, if I was over-ordering musketeer costumes that would at least have a connection to real life because I posted about those two over-priced costumes. But Yetis?! And the maze challenge was bloody tiring too - was running everywhere trying to get to numbered checkpoints in the right order. WTAF?! And not an HBF in sight. FFS.

And now MN is showing me an advert for the Amazon Echo where someone is being reminded to make a fancy dress costume.

What a completely impressively bonkers dream! Loving the over-supply of costumes . In part of my dream someone stole my purse and phone and then came back to where he’d stolen them from to smugly taunt me. Tried to goad him into a reaction so I could fight him (classy) but he wouldn’t. Phoned the police but he couldn’t come out as he’d “had a bit of a fall and could they take my number”.

Anyway, didn’t do the ironing so that has to be done today. No one will go to the cinema with me to watch Incredibles 2, and DH has suggested we all play board games. DS2 also needs to finish homework. And it’s pissing it down again. Hey, Bank Holiday Monday fun!

At least I had a good time in the hayloft last night. It seems someone else agrees with me but, gosh darn it, cropped out again
