Morning wenches. Got up before 7.30 to see DH off and wish him luck for a race he’s doing this morning. Was going to go back to bed but stayed up and watching final Versailles instead. Hmmm.

Casualty seemed to be very action packed last night. Won’t be making a habit of watching though. It was just a case of DH watching it more than me and then he left the room and I couldn’t be arsed to turn over.

We didn't get wet at DS's party, which surprised me, given the forecast. It's cloudy and feels damp here, but also warm. And definitely drier than up in Glasgow - TV is showing the men's road race. Apparently there's been torrential rain, about 100 punctures so far and lots of Thighs... and Fancy is away on hols. poor Fancy Bet she's got it on record for when she gets home though

Awww re little robin . Yesterday I saw a mother mistle thrush wandering across the road outside our house with two little ones following her. I held my breath in case a car was coming round the bend. They went into next door's front garden and were preening themselves under a bush as it was raining. I tried to take a pic but they were too far away.

That's hilarious Helen. It was me with the internet clothes. I did get a full refund in the end and Paypal kindly refunded the return postage so I wasn't out of pocket.

I actually went back to bed after getting DS ready to go out (sorrynotsorry) and woke up, very annoyed, from a dream where I found the rats had gnawed another hole into the old chicken house. A dream about the chicken house and not a HBF in sight

Bad dream rats and grr at subconscious

Today was shit. Anything that could go wrong at work, went wrong (not just for me but for many people). Then on the way home, I got stuck with a ton of diverted traffic because of a road closure. That’s in place until the beginning of September and there’s no real alternative route for me because they’ll all be snarled up too. I suppose at least it’s not a bazillion degrees any more.
