I was nervous too about the penalty thingy, so exciting! We haven't gotten this far in a world cup since 1994 so people are a bit crazy atm. I didn't watch the game against Switzerland, I had thai food with a friend in Uppsala but could hear people screaming

I’m watching the tennis and they’ve had the covers on because it was raining! Rain! Imagine that.

Actually I don’t particularly want rain - well, not a lot of it anyway although that would help the fires - just for it to be a little bit cooler.

I didn’t get a lot of sleep last night (not for HBF related reasons sadly) so even though I’m supposed to be doing the washing up and bringing the washing in, I’ve not moved from the sofa for about an hour.

Evening. Rain at Wimbledon??? Actually it's gone a bit black here, but I don't suppose it will come to anything.

I too have been sitting on the sofa for an hour. We have our meal on trays as DH isn't able to sit at the table yet and we've been watching DIY SOS. I'm always a blubbering wreck at the end of it. They really do do some wonderful work.

I suppose I'd better go and water the plants. Poor things haven't had any rain water since we put them in.

What is this rain of which you speak? I can see a couple of white wispy clouds in the sky?

I still need to be tidying, but I also can't be arsed. I have been wrangling cushions back into their newly-washed cases for the armchair (de-catting for the benefit of an allergic friend) and I need to do so much more... but I can't be bothered. AND I have work I really need to do tonight as well.

I'm just going to sit back and watch Tennis / admire the pretty instead...

I think Wimbledon has its own micro climate. People might get a bit unnerved if the play doesn’t get interrupted by rain a couple of times.

DS is in bed but he's been an inconsiderate little child, doing nothing that isn't normal for a child of his age, but also pressing all the right buttons to make me quietly seeth rant at him. I'm going to go and clean a bathroom so I feel like I've been productive and not spent the night surfing online/working/growling at DS and generally being 'meh'. Then Athos has better be on form in the hayloft and provide some distraction from my self-pitying woes...
