Afternoon. We've had DGS all day. I'm wondering if he has that stomach migraine. He's been complaining about stomach ache and feeling sick just lately. It's usually first thing in the morning so DD thought it might be school, but no school today.

Hurrah for the return of Versailles. And yes LetUs, Marchal is definitely on my list. I hope they find a new love interest for him after his last was poisoned just as it things were hotting up nicely. at 'special tea'.

I was so knackered at work today that I went for a sleep in the car at lunchtime It did help though

So, we are down by one quail chick - I suspect the rats are guilty of a hole that has appeared in the brood box so I have been out with wire mesh and cutters and staples to rat-proof it. We still have the very cute and perky bantam chick though

DH needs me to wash up a cooking pot.

Errands to run this morning. Thrillz.

Have just taken DS off to a holiday activity thingy. Was bit over a mile from home, the car decided that anything over 8mph is for losers and gently cruised down to that speed. Fortunately I was about to turn off the main road when it did that, so have limped home and phoned the very lovely AA to come and give the car a kick. This is exactly what it did the day before we went to Prague, so hopefully it will just be a case of pushing the two relevant parts firmly together so they are in the right position and are fully connected. (I'm sure LetUs could add a lot more innuendo to that description.)

On the plus side, at least I'd already dropped DS off and wasn't far from home.

Now, to work...

That’s a bugger about the car Helen. Hopefully something either needs a good blow or ramming together really firmly, possibly more than once. And you could also get your car fixed.

Have also been to car place to get a small issue sorted. It took about five seconds. So we went to Ikea on the way back, had a wander, and got an ice cream each.

On the plus side, the car is fixed again - things had to be well lubricated and then there was some repeated thrusting up and down to make sure everything was working correctly. So it was all very thorough. And quick (unlike Athos )

wicked Must be consoling Kylo re. his father's surge in popularity since his new film came out I'm sure EmoKyloRen was making some sort of bitter comment on twitter about the popularity of people who cheat at cards, or some such, but I can't find it any more.

Never has fixing a car been so much fun . All they had to do to mine this morning was give it a bit of a push and a twang.

Glad all cars are mended. Scary when they break down on you.

Do we think sausages two days out of date are alright? The packet was a bit sort of swollen, but Google says they put gas inside to preserve them. Anyway, they smelt normal and they're cooking now.

DH would eat them Apricot but he has a stomach of iron.

Is they smell ok then they should be edible. And the sausages too

I'm still watching Gupowder, would you believe?! Should finish it tonight though, DH is out... And I need to set up for Versailles.

DS went to see Solo with DH, did I say? I was doing the LocalEvent So I have no idea what actually happened in the film.

Little Black's idea of motherhood involves clucking a lot and fluffing her feathers, and being cross at us when we open up the brood box. Other than that, I couldn't say. Speaking of which, I need to shut the others away for the night.

Well we ate them, they were delish.

Oooh, we deleted Rellik off the box because DH didn't fancy it and I really didn't see when I would ever get round to watching it... speaking of which, must get Gunpowder started again... (Or Gnupowder as it will forever be on my typo-ridden screen )

Glad I didn't hear about all the car troubles before driving to work this morning as I had to drive through a minor flood - eek! Fingers crossed fro no more rain overnight as I don't fancy a repeat performance tomorrow. I guess I found out why it's called Marsh Road though......

I actually did a little lol at Gnupowder

My car thing was only the petrol cap release not working properly which was nothing major but just made me look a bit of a dick every time I went for petrol and had to keep pulling the release lever, walking round to the petrol cap and, if it hadn’t opened, walking back and repeating until it did.

Eeeek at driving through floody bits!

Have been watching yet more Killers stuff on YouTube. There’s a bit in The Man (and I’ve studied many and various live performances very carefully) where he stands on one of the speakers or amps or whogivesafuckwhattheyactuallyare and slowly gyrates his hips. I will either pass out/try to storm the stage/hope he’s looking straight at me because I think my instant reaction will be face and saying “fuck me”.
