Do you know what I love about Mumsnet?

When on the rare occasion those at Mumsnet Towers make an error of judgment that alienates some of their loyal members they are big enough to say, OK, we got it wrong, we are stuck with the decision for now but this is what will happen in the future. We listen to our members.

They don't blithely defend decisions made with pound notes in their eyes in the facer of critisism from several organisations and individuals.

islandofsodor · 07/05/2007 21:56

I'm comparing the way that Milupagate was handled to the way that Nestle sponsorship is being handles on another parenting site.

I'm so gutted I can't tell you how much as I was a volunteer on that site for years.

Pyres of Burning Animals
Fraudulent Labeling

Twiglett · 07/05/2007 22:00

from case against Nestle SA

AitchTwoOh · 07/05/2007 22:01

we don't like them, ladies, because they have blood on their hands. they give away free milk powder to bfing mothers in the third world, encouraging them to give up, and then the mothers are forced to buy more powder while poor sanitation endangers little babies who would otherwise have been fine with BM. it's actually deadly important.

Twiglett · 07/05/2007 22:02

personally the extraction of groundwater pisses me right orf

Twiglett · 07/05/2007 22:05

coca-cola does that too and decimates whole communities

oliveoil · 07/05/2007 22:05

pyres of burning animals???? wtf?

I have read things for and against Nestle (and I do like Cheerios)

what is MN error of judgement then?
