Do you know what I love about Mumsnet?

When on the rare occasion those at Mumsnet Towers make an error of judgment that alienates some of their loyal members they are big enough to say, OK, we got it wrong, we are stuck with the decision for now but this is what will happen in the future. We listen to our members.

They don't blithely defend decisions made with pound notes in their eyes in the facer of critisism from several organisations and individuals.

What's wrong with aptamil? i used it when supplementing bf with ds1 when i went back to work.

baby food in jars, that is. Never used formula in that respect.

Just SMA Wysoy for DD.....still do actually.

Nothing wrong with Aptamil per se, people just objected to it's underhand marketing tactics.

(Cow & Gate girl myself, only formula I could find without fish oil LCP's)

Aptimil were advertising a breastfeeding helpline on here, and elsewhere

of course infant formula can't be advertised but other services offered by the manufacturers can be

a formula company offering a breastfeeding helpline seemed pretty suspect to us

and tentative calls to test them out did not lead us to believe they were entirely unbiased in their advice
