I suppose that's fair enough - Isn't Morgause/Emilia Fox all efficient and problem solving in, um... what's the series where she's a pathologist or something and solves lots of murders. Or something? Anyway, he's probably seen that and assumed she's that successful in all her characters. Bit of a let-down for him then.

There's yet another TB interview online, this time with I haven't watched it yet - just busy feeling horrified sympathy for him as I wonder exactly how many interviews he had to sit through that day - it's clearly some sort of junket where interviewer after interviewer gets wheeled in to ask the same interesting and relevant questions about Strike.

DS2’s new carpet was fitted today. Intended to make a start with the furniture tonight, with the bookshelf being first. Except that has to go behind the door and we can’t now move the door because of the new carpet

Yay for playdate, tiled sink, book and fitted carpet. That's such a pain when you have to get a door off and shorten it before you an open it.

So, yesterday I had three automated phone calls purporting to be from my bank saying there had been fraudulent activity on my card and to confirm my details. I thought, this is a scam and put the phone down each time. This afternoon I went to pay for some Christmas presents for the DGC online and the card was declined. So I phoned the bank and it seems that someone in China is having fun with my card and the phone calls were legit. Oops. How can this happen?

I found what I watched of Expedition Volcano fascinating too but for different, more wenchy, reasons

So DS2 has done his spellings without complaint, did the last section of his maths without being asked, and then voluntarily did guitar practice.

Who is that child and what has he done with DS2 LetUs? Our bedroom door does that too - well, it will open, but you have to push it against the carpet. I'ts never occurred to me that we could actually shave a bit off the bottom of the door

I remember something similar happening with me, I think DH picked up a message and told me to call them. Apparently there's a regular pattern of your card being used for something less than a fiver (to check it works), and then it gets hammered for lots of high-value stuff. Hurrah for banks being on the case.

There's yet another interview - written this time, on Digital Spy Apparently he has a coat similar to Strike's but feels he can't wear it now or he'll just look a bit weird
