He remains unpainted for now as he’s stopped being a knobhead. Not finished yet though and I’m getting the running commentary treatment every so often so I might just shove the brush in his mouth

I was doing some decorating with DH today, and the paint was horrible (as in very thick, hard to spread evenly, tended to come away fro the wall if you went back to a badly painted half-dried bit.) I fear I was a mardy cow - he told me to go away and let him get on with it. So I went and engaged in homework hell with DS, which was also very depressing.

On the plus side, DH did a marvellous job with the crap paint. Will see how it looks in the light of day once it's dried.

Well done to Helen and LetUs for their painting efforts and for not painting their respective DHs.

We spent the morning putting the mesh down on the lawn again to deter the magpies. DH cut up a piece of turf 6 inches square and there were 10 of the fucking grubs still alive in it. God knows how many we've got on the whole lawn.

Dala horses remind me of the big 'stuff' in Australia. I saw the Big Merino when I was over there, which I don't think has quite the cultural history of the Dala horses

Painting done here. Hurrah! Carpet tomorrow and then we can start arguing about the correct way (ie my way and the instructions) to build the furniture.

I want all Dala horses to be huge. I think they should have used one at Troy, it would make much more sense if it was a nice brightly decorated horse they wanted to haul into their city.
