What do you mean 'nto' LetUs ?! Shock I AM Elastagirl Grin And your dress looks utterly wenchtastic. Will you be doing the charleston in it? Should we get one of Milady's chokers for you wear as a hairband?

That all sounds suitably grim Apricot. Technology is fine until it's not. Sad My DIY skills do know bounds. I think. Plumbing. I draw the line at plumbing - mainly because it involves undoing stuff that I can't get undone (or done up again tightly enough not to leak). Tomorrow morning I shall wake DH (and the immediate neighbours) to the happy sound of the tile cutter screeching away on the patio...

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 18/11/2017 18:01

Thanks Letus. No idéa how that ended up there Blush

And Grin at your comment to your boss!

LetUsPrey · 18/11/2017 18:59

Jonnie in guyliner! Not sure how Fancy would feel about that - if she watched - but I like

I’ll probably be charlestoning at some point in the late evening Grin

Loved La La Land

ApricotCrush · 18/11/2017 19:53

Oh, I would love you Helen with the tile-cutter. Hmm We have the latest round of fireworks going on a the moment over the road. It sounds like a war zone. When will it end?

DH won't watch Strictly any more, I'll have to catch up tomorrow.

LetUsPrey · 18/11/2017 19:59

They’re in Blackpool Apricot. In case you hadn’t heard them mention it eleventy billion times.

OP posts:
ApricotCrush · 18/11/2017 20:36

They're not are they? I wouldn't have known. 🙄

I think the hose worked, they've stopped. Grin

LetUsPrey · 18/11/2017 21:03

Hurrah for the hose

I’m catching up on Merlin. Charles Dance is being a bit of a bastard.

OP posts:
SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 18/11/2017 22:58

Home again now, several squillion games of Uno and Bananagram later...

Ah - Merlin. I happened to wander in during a Lancelot episode. I see he does a good line in The Stare as well Grin

I am whacked and heading for the hayloft.

Night all.

LetUsPrey · 18/11/2017 23:11

No one will play Bananagrams with me here. Well, DS2 had a go and I suppose it’s a way of helping his spelling.

I have really bad indigestion. It really fucking hurts. Trying to burp but no luck.

On that note of epic enticing sexiness, I’m heading to the hayloft too.

Night

LetUsPrey · 19/11/2017 09:22

Morning wenches.

I have selflessly volunteered to stay at sportingactivity today so that DH can get on with stuff at home. So considerate.

I’d better get the washing sorted, have a shower and do the dishes then.

OP posts:
SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 19/11/2017 10:38

Well done that wench, re. selfless parenting at SportingActivity.

I have been a hive of shoving things under cushions tiding before family arrive - including truthful tactless children who will comment on what a state the house is. Grin

Apricot will be pleased to know that this means no tile cutting has been done yet, so no neighbours disturbed. And we're off swimming in half an hour, so quite likely that none will get done today at all, at this rate...

DS slept in until 7:40 this morning! This means that I'm not knackered (yet) for once. We must take him out to do SportingActivities more often when he's still technically recovering from being ill. I mean, if that's what it takes to get a lie-in round here...

LetUs - right, you and me are going to have a messenger session playing Banagram remotely. It will be carnage, but I'm sure it can be done when we both have a free half hour... Or we could skype it. If I rediscover how to use skype... Hmm this is our challange anyway. Banagram over the internet...

I've just noticed that sitting here on the sofa gives me a really good view of the dust and crap accumulated under one of the chairs. Arse....

LetUsPrey · 19/11/2017 14:50

No HBI again. There were some comments about “move in and out, in and out, keep changing pace” though.

Hurrah for MiniHelen having a lie in!

I need to get this other wash out and then help DH in DS2’s room. And there’s the ironing. I’d rather have a nap.

OP posts:
FancyFancy · 19/11/2017 16:07

Afternoon.

Sounds like a bloody good job I'm not watching Strictly if JP was wearing guyliner Angry We seriously need some wenches in the costume department. Where's the manliness FFS?

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 19/11/2017 16:08

Angry HBI is neglecting his duties....

My wash is out and getting damp and darked on.

ApricotCrush · 19/11/2017 16:30

Hello wenches.

I've spent most of the morning photographing and listing a very expensive item on eBay. It's not even for me. Hmm

We're off to the hospital shortly for DH's MRI scan. There are only two things in the whole world that scare him, rats and MRI scanners.

Hope everyone has had a good day. Smile

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 19/11/2017 17:07

Evening.
Haven't done much today, went for a walk and tried out my new icebugs (shoes with studs) on the icy road, worked great.

Also watched the last ep of the series about Henry VIII's wives, been really interesting to learn more about them.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 19/11/2017 17:08

Give MrApes a big hug from me Apes.

ApricotCrush · 19/11/2017 17:56

Hahahahaha, DH in a hospital gown. Oh dear, I’m so cruel. I’ve passed your hug on WW, thank you.

I could do with some of those icebugs for when the weather gets bad here.

LetUsPrey · 19/11/2017 18:40

Grin Apricot. Bit draughty is it for him? Hope the scan goes well. Whoops! Sorry—notsorry—

Icebugs sound like a brilliant idea, and I like the sound of the programme you’ve been watching recently Wicked.

I am trying to imagine playing bananagrams over t’internet Grin

As guyliner goes Fancy (although I am a bit biased), he did look good. Doesn’t matter though because you don’t watch it Wink

Have been helping DH with the painting. I ended up putting my headphones on because he was ohsoverychatty.

OP posts:
SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 19/11/2017 20:03

Fingers crossed for MrA's scan...

No DIY-ing done today, apart from marking tiles to be cut

DS is absolutely pooped after busy weekend and last week of being ill. Had a little emotional meltdown earlier when it all got a bit much, bless him. You know the way they get when they're sobbing away having been told off, and then just everything is enough to make it worse "Even the cats prefer you to me..." I did point out that the cats prefer not to sit on a squiggly fidgety lap Hmm Oh well. he's cheered up again now, is watching the end of Ninja Warrior (and clutching the medal that he won last night.)

ApricotCrush · 19/11/2017 20:19

Oh, poor DS Helen. Sad

We're back now. It wasn't too bad, he went in feet first leaving his head out, so he didn't think he was being buried alive. Grin Five weeks for the results. Hmm

Going to see what the box has recorded for us now.

LetUsPrey · 19/11/2017 21:10

Star for MrApricot

Oh poor little MiniHelen. Hope he gets a good night’s rest and doesn’t wake up too early. This will also be beneficial to Helen Grin

DS2 is taking being a ratbag to new levels.

Think I might head to the hayloft early tonight. Back’s gone again and I think the heat of the electric blanket will help.

OP posts:
SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 19/11/2017 21:30

DS is now asleep in his own bed (having fallen asleep in ours to start with)

Oh LetUs Sad You need a soothing massage with hot rocks from an HBF. That will help your back, or distract your from it if nothing else. also Aramis is good with children. He can sort out DS2 - then move on to you. Or the other way round, if you prefer.

5 weeks?! apricot FFS... how can it take 5 weeks to get the results Angry

LetUsPrey · 19/11/2017 22:09

Excellent suggestions Helen.

I’m off to the hayloft and shall await HBFs.

Night x

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 20/11/2017 08:00

Morning wenches.

Aramis’s skilled fingers did the trick for me last night, and my back’s feeling better too Grin

Dark, raining and windy here. No like.
