Purely for research purposes, I have done an experiment for you all. Magnums work much better in baths than flakes - they don't fall to bits and make such a mess.

Thanks on behalf of DH. He thinks it's a torn cartilage from some new-fangled golf shoes that don't allow his foot to rotate, so twisting his knee. Or something. The GP agrees. The thing is, this isn't the knee that has arthritis and will have to be replaced at some stage.
