Alone in Tokyo. Well not alone. Alone with 3 of offspring. Have had twinnos birthday to navigate on my own (messy). Included clearing up a massive bucket of sick which I nearly added to myself. Have been sorting all school stuff out which had taken fucking ages, but we are now def going back to Oz ready for Halloween. It's been a fabulous time here and I'm so pleased we did it but fucking hell its a lot of sorting out.

Slightly cross with ds1 and Mr C who are out on the piss, bachelor living at the mo. I'll soon stop all that fun when I get there. Just feeling like I've been left with the baby a bit. And big babies at that. With big baby sick. 😡

More gardening today. As we mentioned to Helen and MrH in London, we're having a running battle with chafer grubs which eat the grass roots leaving huge bare patches. We've treated them twice with nematodes which are supposed to kill them, but they're still alive. An added complication is that the local population of crows and magpies are using the lawn as a restaurant and digging it up to get to them. It looks like a battlefield.

We tried hanging CDs from the trees to scare them off and it worked for a week, but then a brave one must have tried it, discovered that nothing happened and called all his mates over. So DH put meshing over the back lawn, and they're now having a go at the front. Bastards! We dread looking out in the morning. He phoned the supplier of the nematodes and he said there are different species and it doesn't work for them all. Well he would say that, wouldn't he?

Knackered, think I'll have an early night.
