Weird sun here too
Funeral was very sad but very beautiful...her stilettos were indeed on the coffin 😁
Ds2 has a chest infection and ds1 is still a bit lumpy from his vaccine reaction...
I may have a nap

Badders08 · 16/10/2017 14:05

Ive always liked debenhams apes 👍

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 16/10/2017 19:45

Evening wenches. Hugs and Wine to all in need.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 16/10/2017 19:55

Evening. V. windy and also strange coloured sky here. Cracking sunset though. Apparently there was a twister in Ireland

I have a stinking headache which laughs in the face of drugs (FFS). So I am pinching some blankets from the cwtch cupboard and snuggling up in the hayloft for the night.

ApricotCrush · 16/10/2017 20:10

Hope DSs are better soon Bads. Sad re stilettos.

Gosh it's rough out there. We've tied the pampas to an outside light as I don't think it would survive. I hope the wind doesn't pull the light off the house. Hmm

Keyboard is working now, what was that about??? Confused

Hope the head feels better soon Helen x
The funeral was very sad apes but very beautiful too. A great send off for a great lady.
Ds2 wants to gove me a massage for my back...pray for me wenches! 😣

LetUsPrey · 16/10/2017 21:02

Evening wenches.

I think I must be the only person who didn’t notice the different coloured sky and sun. Even DS1 noticed it and he practically walks round with his eyes closed. Bit bloody breezy out there.

Woohoo for the eventual arrival of Debenhams Apricot! Hope you can find a coat you like.

Hope Fancy’s having a lovely time at the theatre.

Large bottle of Pimms for Wicked.

I have had an okay day at work. I seem to have got some shoes too for the wedding I’m going to. I’ve made the error though of sitting down after I’ve got in from exerciseclass and I now can’t be arsed to get up. I need food.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 16/10/2017 22:22

Aramis says he's got a gigant sausage if you're feeling peckish Letus Wink

LetUsPrey · 16/10/2017 22:39

Always hungry for that. Very filling. Very Grin

Have just watched S2 finale of Lucifer. Just like to say a big thank you to the programme makers finishing the series with a shirtless Lucifer. ‘preciate it.

LetUsPrey · 17/10/2017 08:16

Morning wenches.

Still a bit breezy here. At least I can use that as an excuse for my hair looking crap.

FancyFancy · 17/10/2017 09:04

Morning wenches

Theatre was fab last night thanks, lovely production.

The sun was really red here too yesterday and the light was oddly yellow - quite eerie.

I hope your head is clearer today helen and that work is as un-annoying as yesterday letus

Ooh I do quite like a Debenham's apricot

Love the idea of shoes on the coffin badders

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 17/10/2017 09:36

What play did you see Fancy?

FancyFancy · 17/10/2017 15:46

An American in Paris ww

Badders08 · 17/10/2017 15:52

I've heard good things about that show fancy

Ds1 and I had a very funny convo about funerals not long ago....
I told him I wanted to be cremated but other than that it's up to them, i won't be there so I don't care.
So it seems I will be having a GofT themed funeral complete with a full sized GofT headstone*

*He went on to say his friends dad is a stonemason (He is indeed!) And he reckons he can get 20% off....and then as an afterthought told me not to put any weight on!!! Little sod 😂

ApricotCrush · 17/10/2017 15:58

Hello all.

That is hilarious Bads. Grin

Glad you enjoyed the play Fancy.

Lovely day here so we've been doing gardening as it's bin day tomorrow.

FancyFancy · 17/10/2017 16:08

It shouldn't be funny but it is badders - the cheeky git Grin

It was a lovely show - female lead was a beautiful dancer.

Badders08 · 17/10/2017 16:19

We had a good old laugh about it 😁

I'm a great believer in dealing with sad things with humour..my dad was the same

He told me many years ago beer may have been involved that he wanted a Viking funeral. I told him we might have issues with that buy I could prob swing a co-op trolley lobbed into the local river 😂

Badders08 · 17/10/2017 17:29

Now then wenches...i know some of you are very clever when it comes to bad backs etc soooo....
No idea what I've done.
Woke up Saturday in pain...when I straighten up, when I lift things and when I lift my arms up above shoulder height.
I have 2 herniated discs at L1 and L2 (both conformed by mri) but this is different - it's not back either side of my spine
Not really sure what Dr can do
I'm trying to keep moving, using heat and paracetamol but it's not easing
Ideas? Tips?
Argh.....

MadamedeChevreuse · 17/10/2017 17:32

Find your nearest Mctimoney chiropractor - they're fucking wizards, I tell ya!

Heat can sometimes make injuries worse - ice better I think?

Flowers
Badders08 · 17/10/2017 17:33

Nhs website said ice or heat...id me 're get warm again if used ice! 😁

Badders08 · 17/10/2017 17:34

I might go and get a Dr referral for a chiropractor...

Badders08 · 17/10/2017 17:34

never get warm

Badders08 · 17/10/2017 17:36

I wonder if there are any hot chiropractors around??

MadamedeChevreuse · 17/10/2017 18:39

Tbh your quickest bet is to find a practice and pay for it as you go - when Ive been totally spannered it only took about 3 or 4 sessions max to sort it. Heat can really make it worse ime so prob best to do nothing if you cant bear frozen peas! Good luck...

ApricotCrush · 17/10/2017 18:42

Ah, bad backs. DH has had one ever since he yanked a railway line out of his parents' garden when he was 16. It rears its ugly head every so often. He used to see a chiropractor and speaks highly of him.

I once had a slipped disc and had treatment at the hospital. She made it worse, I discharged myself and put up with it until it sorted itself out. I often get a muscle spasm when I make some ridiculously tiny movement. I take ibuprofen and again wait for it to go. I've had a hip problem since June but I'm not a great believer in the medical profession to be honest so haven't done anything about it. It'll go eventually. But that's just me, so I would take Madame's advice and find a hopefully hot chiropractor.
