Afternoon wenches. Bit of drama here with DGS banging his head on a wall and then coming off his bike. I hate accidents on our watch, but he seems alright.

On the Strike front, Silkworm Ep 2 was beaten into third place on BBC1 for the week ending 17th September by Dr. Foster and an episode of Eastenders, with a total of 7.21 million. It still beat Victoria in the same slot which got 6.77 million. All in all the figures have been great and TB and everyone involved must be really pleased.

We recorded Electric Dreams, but I'm not too keen on sci-fi so don't know whether we'll get round to it.

DS2 brought home a letter saying we’re in arrears with lunch money. Except there’s money (more than owed) in his account. It seems I actually have to transfer it and the simple fact of paying the money is isn’t fucking enough. They’ve got new lunch providers and it’s been a pissing PITA.

Letter from DS1’s school. It’s compulsory he attends revision sessions for one of his core subjects because he’s not doing as well as he should - so much for winging it.

Then have to do baking for DS2 to take to school tomorrow. Sacked off one recipe and made another. Which needs to chill for three hours before cutting it into shapes. I may have a few drinks before that. I may do letter shapes to help the children learn some new words.

On the plus side, I asked Alexa to play songs from 1983. Some belting stuff - David Bowie, Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Eurythmics, Cyndi Lauper, Madonna, Lionel Ritchie, Iron Maiden, New Order. There was also some Pink Floyd so I skipped that

all round It's hard when they act like selfish brats & they all do at times! They may not be toddlers any more but I think they still test boundaries & push buttons - difference is they have more sophisticated & manipulative ways of reacting to being thwarted than screaming shit fit tantrums & that make us feel shitty.

Work was okaaay today, but traffic was awful so had a slow journey in. Am a bit pooped
