Evening! Had a lovely day, what gorgeous weather!!!

Sassy, a cliff top walk and an ice-cream sounds perfect! You've really hit the jackpot with the weather this weekend!

EvilDoctorBallerinaDuck - love it!!! Your DD is clearly a genius.

DH was trying to persuade me to go to a beer garden tomorrow afternoon. Trouble is, I don't think he realises that it wouldn't be the idyllic, lazy, drunken (on his part!) afternoon he imagines. For one thing, the two youngest are NOT going to stay in their pushchair for very long and if they're out then it means DS2 will want to crawl everywhere (I don't think so!!!) and DD3 will just be an absolute menace and attempt to cause herself grievous bodily harm or death with the most innocuous of items. Either way, both littleies would require one-on-one supervision by an adult, which really doesn't lend itself to a relaxing time! Plus they nap in the afternoon. 'Don't worry' said DH cheerily, 'we can go out AFTER they nap'. So that would be around 4pm for approximately an hour before they'd then need their tea then. And there's nowhere we can walk to, so muggins here would have to drive.

And he wondered why I wasn't keen!!! 😂

Malcolm she's very strange!

I used to take the DC everywhere when they were little, and still do. I do usually factor in a meal at the pub. Baby jars until they were old enough for the kids' menu. We're in London, so we only have one pub with a garden, but we just let them get on with it, and DS2 still hasn't grown out of the suicidal stage! Hmm

I'm even taking them to a festival in September! Grin

EvilDoctorBallerinaDuck · 09/04/2017 04:13

DH woke me up an hour ago turning the fucking hallway light on to come to bed! He said "can't you sleep?" Angry

SassynSane · 09/04/2017 07:34

Ooh nooo EDBD that's crap! Sad Hope you got back to sleep in the end?

Malcolm could you do the beer garden chez Malcolm? Get your DH to go grab some stuff, do a BBQ and invite a few friends over but BYO (& they can use your BBQ) to minimise the effort on your part? DH gets beer in the sun but you can relax more and hopefully grab one too?

On bed with sun streaming through the curtains. Might have to hit the beach today! Folk will def be wearing sunglasses...largely owing to how white my legs are, LOL Grin

Hope you both have a peaceful Sunday!

SassynSane · 09/04/2017 20:48

Evening Wine Hope your days have been good? Went to the beach. Was in my swimming cossie, in April, eating a picnic, on the beach, in the UK! Was lovely. Am such a big kid though. Had a walk along said beach in the aft and DD challenged me to a race. Spent good 10-15 mins racing around near the sea until I was out of breath and then it dawned on me that am 40s with jiggly bits! In my head I am now pretending it was all good cos it was totally Baywatch it wasn't, it really really wasn't BlushGrin. Put loads of sun cream on but still got a red face....but maybe that's just the thought of the jog in the surf, LOL!

Hope you're both ok Smile

EvilDoctorBallerinaDuck · 10/04/2017 02:41

Woke up at 1. Hmm

Yesterday had chocolate pancakes, had chicken in red wine and thyme sauce with creamy garlic potatoes for lunch, went to park, went to McDonald's for supper with DM, DS2 had a cheeseburger happy meal and a creme egg McFlurry, DD had a McChicken sandwich meal and a toffee sundae, DM had a Big Tasty meal and a creme egg McFlurry, I had a Classic Signature meal, got back at about 7.30, the DC went straight to bed, I went straight after. Grin

EvilDoctorBallerinaDuck · 10/04/2017 06:42

Morning! I got up at 4.40, DS2 woke up at 5.10, DD woke up at 5.30, had chocolate pancakes, watching Freaktown. Hmm

MalcolmTuckersOmniShambles · 10/04/2017 07:22

Morning! Sorry I was AWOL yesterday, it was a bit manic at my end.

Beer garden in my garden is a lovely idea, Sassy, except we've got a koi pond which the previous owner put in. We're having it taken out soon, and it's got a grid to stop the babies falling in, but they can still climb onto the grid and get really lucky and wet, as DD3 proved within the space of about two minutes! Hopefully we can get it done in the next month or so and then it'll be replaced with a nice block paved area, perfect for beer drinking! 🍻

DH consoled himself by going to buy a BBQ instead yesterday! Our garden shed needs replacing, as it's quite old and leaky and things go rusty in there over the winter, however we're going to replace it with a new plastic one when we get the work done in the garden. I actually can't wait until I can just leave the French doors open and just let the babies play in and out without having to worry or hover over them!

Sassy, I'm sure you were very Baywatch-like! Who cares what people think anyway (easy to say, I know, because I'm quite very self-conscious too) - if I'd been there all I would have seen was a mum having loads of fun with her daughter, it would have made me smile. Glad you're having such an amazing time!

EDBD - poor you, waking up at 1, did you manage to get back to sleep at all?

OP posts:
MalcolmTuckersOmniShambles · 10/04/2017 07:28

Aaargh - my phone fell forward and hit my hand and typically, hit it on the post button!! 😆

EDBD - I was about to commiserate with you for waking up so early. Did you manage to get back to sleep? I'm glad you managed to go to bed earlier as well, I hope you're not too tired today.

I always love hearing about what you've had to eat because it always sounds really nice! The chicken you had yesterday sounds delicious. You must be an excellent cook!

Well, I'd better get up and through the shower before the two youngest start getting restless! Have a good day, all!

Morning Brew

Your garden plans sound good Malcolm. Do you have to rehome the koi? Am guessing it's a bit more complex than a dog or cat? But as they are valuable maybe they'll pay for your new shed? Wink

Bath your sleep is pretty crap at the mo...too much in your head? Hope you're ok. Chocolate pancakes for breakfast? When can DD come and stay? Grin

Thanks Malcolm, that's a lovely thing to say. I hope other people thought that too but exactly, who cares right?

So apparently it's going to be 10 degs cooler today. Think we'll do a trip to Corfe Castle. Love it there and as we're Nat Trust members it's a relatively cheap trip (though might treat us to lunch somewhere as nice to eat out on hols).

Happy Monday!

SassynSane · 10/04/2017 07:46

Oops...naturally switched to Bath, only half-awake..EDBD!!!! Blush

MalcolmTuckersOmniShambles · 10/04/2017 08:21

We moved in nearly 10 years ago, Sassy! The owner did 'kindly' leave us a couple of koi and LOADS of goldfish, despite my saying I really didn't want them!

Even though I don't particularly like fish, I couldn't bring myself to dispose of them and you can't regime koi unless you can prove that they're free of a particular disease which I couldn't, as I didn't know where they came from in the first place! So we managed with a grid while the three older children were younger, then got rid of it, only to find out the following year we were expecting again!

All of the fish have now peacefully passed on to the great big pond in the sky, so I can, at last, get rid of the flipping pond (which takes up a massive bit of the sunny side of the garden!).

Corfe Castle sounds lovely, I'm sure I went there as a child, the name certainly rings a bell.

I hope you have a wonderful day!

EDBD - hope you have a wonderful day, too!

OP posts:
SassynSane · 10/04/2017 08:25

RIP Malcolm's inherited fish! Grin

Yes looking forward to it, though will def be more covered up today, not sure the Nat Trust set are ready for the bum jiggle Baywatch experience!!! Grin

MalcolmTuckersOmniShambles · 10/04/2017 13:10

Currently sat waiting to give blood! First time in three years due to the two pregnancies. However, I did get stuck with needles many, many times whilst pregnant, so I'm used to it! 💉

Corfe Castle sounds like much more fun! Grin

OP posts:
SassynSane · 10/04/2017 15:31

Good for you Malcolm. Hope it went ok? Now back and sat catching some rays, looking at the view & reading my book. DD watching Marmaduke on tv.

Corfe was lovely. Not a red swimsuit in sight but DD took a pic of me & realised def channelling Baywatch hair today, LOL! Grin

MalcolmTuckersOmniShambles · 10/04/2017 23:08

All went fine, thanks, Sassy. It's come to something when giving blood means looking forward to 30 mins peace and quiet on your phone without being interrupted!!!

Glad you had a lovely day. I'm shattered, so off to bed!

See you tomorrow.

EvilDoctorBallerinaDuck · 11/04/2017 07:13

Morning! Woke up at 1.26 but went back to sleep. Grin

Yesterday had chicken and bacon risotto for lunch, DD went to my aunt's until Friday, went to the park until suppertime, had supper in the Sainsbury's café, DS2 had chicken nuggets, chips and peas, coffee cake and popcorn for pudding, I had Yorkshire ham, eggs and chips, DS2 was in bed by 8.30, I went straight after.

This morning, I woke up at 4.30, DS2 woke up at 5, had chocolate pancakes, watching Freaktown. Hmm

Going to the Bunny Hop and Seek at the Museum of Brands with my DM today, BathsLad ( EvilDoctorLad ?) is too ill to come. Sad

SassynSane · 11/04/2017 07:36

Morning Brew

EDBD sorry to hear that BathLad / EDL is poorly Sad Is it another infection? Hoping he feels better v soon. Glad you managed to get back to sleep yesterday morn. Hope you enjoy the Hop & Seek. Sounds fun!

Malcolm that's a somewhat extreme way of getting some "you" time Grin Glad it went ok.

Planning on a boat trip over to Poole today. Been so lucky with the weather this hol. Am actually going to go back with a bit of a tan! Wink

EvilDoctorBallerinaDuck · 11/04/2017 08:09

No, but cancer, chemotherapy and CF are exhausting. Sad He's spending most of the time wrapped up in his Hug (thanks again Malcolm Smile).

He has to be well for 2nd September, we're going to a festival. Smile

SassynSane · 11/04/2017 08:21

Glad he has his hug. Sending a virtual Sassy one to add a bit of extra oomph. And will keep everything crossed for Sept 2nd. Am supposing no op date yet?

MalcolmTuckersOmniShambles · 11/04/2017 08:52

Oh, EDBD, I'm so sorry to hear that. Is it a chest infection again? Presumably he has to be well before they will even consider his op? Fingers crossed that he's better soon and you're able to spend some quality time with him.

What's in store for you today, Sassy? I'm saw you looked gaw-jus with your Baywatch hair!

I'm hoping for my first day of the holidays where I don't actually have to go anywhere or take any children to various activities! Although I do now have a mountain of washing to do 😩. My life is just so glamorous!!!

Have a good day, everyone!

OP posts:
EvilDoctorBallerinaDuck · 11/04/2017 08:53

Not yet, he has scans and tests this week. Smile

MalcolmTuckersOmniShambles · 11/04/2017 08:58

Oops, for some reason my app hadn't updated to show all the most recent messages! Blush

I see all of my questions have already been asked and answered! Great minds obviously think alike! Grin

I'm so, so glad the Hug is bringing DuckLad/BallerinaLad/DoctorLad (just can't bring myself to call him EvilLad!!!) some comfort. He's been through so bloody much, no wonder he's exhausted. Poor thing. I only wish the Hug had the power to heal physically, as well as emotionally. Here's hoping he starts to recover and feel less ill (I won't say better, because I'm guessing that will take some time) very, very soon. Lots of virtual hugs to you both. Flowers

OP posts:
SassynSane · 11/04/2017 09:20

Haha Malcolm bloody technology hey? Talking of hair do we have any before and after pics yet? At least it's good drying weather for all the washing! Smile

EDBD do keep us updated on tests results for EDLad (EDL was also wrong!) this week. Def want to know!

EvilDoctorBallerinaDuck · 11/04/2017 10:04

Thanks so much both of you, they'll be passed on.

My yarn arrived a while ago at DM's address, I forgot to ask her to bring it today, she's already on the bus! At least I have some idea of the colours now! I'm assuming K&P chose the colour scheme? Excellent taste if they did! Grin
