Well I feel like I've fallen asleep and woken up in some kind of parallel universe! The DUP?!!! What. The. Actual. Fuck!

Malcolm!!! Sorry been quiet today. Having a mare this end. DD up through the night and projectile vomited all over me at 5am. Both exhausted! Had to work from home and owing to pressing deadlines had colleague round for 2 hrs this aft. Abandoned DD in front of the tv. Colleague coming back on Mon to finish off...I don't even work on Mondays...

Gazzie's last night on her hols tonight. DD just gone to her dad's (strict instructions sent on looking after her). I am going to go buy some wine!

Went to DD's concert, it was actually 3 schools, and there was audience participation too! 🍌🍌🍌!

Picked DS2 up, had shredded lamb and rosemary tagliatelle for supper, both DC are in bed. 😆😴🍸🍺🍻🍷🍹

Wish I could have watched you participating EDBS....that would've brightened up my day no end! 😂

Oh Sassy, your poor DD and poor you! I HATE dealing with vomit. Poo, fine. Wee, not bothered. Blood, not squeamish. But sick is a whole different ballgame! I have been known to stand outside the bathroom with my fingers in my ears to block out the sound of retching whilst simultaneously trying to say sympathetic things through the door! So I utterly sympathise.

I do hope it's not bird flu!!!!!! 😂🐦🐦🐦😷

Seriously, I hope she feels much better soon and you both get an undisturbed night.

As you might have guessed from the emojis, the audience had to sing "banana, banana, banana" while each school was singing a different fruit. I already knew all the parts because DD had been singing it around the house for 7 months! All the way down the school stairs and all the way home, we were singing about fruit! 🎤🎵🎶🍏🍊🍋🍇🍉🍐🍑🍒🍓🍍🍌🍎😆

EDBD - so sorry to hear about ED'sLad. Poor him, I remember you were saying how positive he sounded recently. I hope this hasn't disheartened him too much and that he's out of hospital really soon! Is he allowed spicy food again now that the chemo has stopped? I keep seeing these adverts on telly for KFC spicy chicken where people have tears rolling down their faces because it's so hot! 🔥 Made me think of you!

Sassy - really hope that your DD is feeling better. Does your ex-P let you know those sort of things when he has her? I hope for her sake that it was just a 24-hour thing and that she's fully recovered now.

And eeek! About DGazzie! I need to go and catch up! Was today the day?!

Soooo nice going to bed not having to set the alarm! Had a plasterer round this morning to have a look at the bedroom we're making bigger. Hopefully that'll start at the beginning of July - I'm just trying to get all of the tradespeople lined up and provisionally booked in, as the builders are just doing the structure and then I have to organise the electrics, plumbing, plastering etc. I'm trying desperately not to think about the upheaval and mess!!!

Gosh, Sassy - you poor thing! I can't believe there's no news yet! I am metaphorically holding your hand whilst scanning the skies and making cooing noises. Realistically, I think she will have settled down for the night when it started to get dark, so hopefully you'll hear back from the owner tomorrow morning.

No, he normally doesn't update me but she called me today to say she didn't want to go to the fete she was s'posed to go to (her class doing thing at it) but was fine with that as she's v tired and recovering. Anyway was good to speak to her and she sounded reasonably ok so hoping she's well when she gets home tomorrow.

Oh dear, Sassy, just checked the DGazzie thread . So sorry that there's still no news. She's obviously decided that the racing life is not for her and is going to retire to a nice tree in the country.

Hi both! Hope your Monday has gone well? Busy one this end. Had colleague round and we worked all day from mine to hit some deadlines. Done thankfully and hopefully will get chance to have day off in lieu at some stage!

DD came home yesterday tired but well again so made it into school today. Haven't told her about Gazzie as she hasn't asked so unless she does won't mention it as she'll be upset. Still no news on that front!

V tired but just having a boost juice thing in a cafe whilst DD has drama. Hoping it actually boosts me!

Breakfast sounds good EDBD. Hope EDsLad back out v soon! 😊

Glad DD is better, Sassy - your day sounds manic. I hope once you've had some sleep it'll feel like a weight has been lifted off your shoulders, having got it done. I've got a load of accounts type stuff I need to do and I just keep finding excuses not to do it! 😱 Thursday is the day I'm setting aside to crack on with it...I think!!!

Hi both! So bit of a topsy-turvy day...ran over a squirrel this morn on way back from school run so not a good start (it was on opp side of road by pavement but suddenly decided to dart into my lane, tried to swerve but traffic behind and going opp direction next to me so nothing I could do...poor little thing...), then had to fetch DD early from school to take her to docs as her hay fever is v bad. Then it was swimming where she was a total nightmare and wouldn't listen to her teachers and I might have got a tad ...lets say exasperated...poolside...in front of a random bunch of parents....oh dear...all sorted now and she's happily colouring next to me...

In office tomorrow but finishing at lunchtime as it's Sports Day. DD hates it so not sure how it's going to go...lets hope no tears before bedtime!
