Morning! So had a random night at a local pub with my neighbour last night. Had a really lovely catch up over a bottle of wine and had we left it there all would be well...downing a double vodka and cranberry juice was not our finest move! But think I needed to let my hair down a bit!

Glad things were calmer yesterday Malcolm, really hope that continues & good idea to try to separate the girls a little to alleviate the chances of arguments etc. Fingers crossed the calmness continues through the weekend.

EDBD did you manage to get to sleep? Hope you're not feeling too bad this morn. Not a great sleep again this end but can take it relatively easy today. Friend coming to stay later and we're going for a meal tonight at the same place I was having a drink last night. Two women in two nights...will get a reputation and it will be entirely the wrong one!

Thanks for your kind words Malcolm, I hope I am all those things and yes, I deserve much better. Just need to let go...

Rubbish that you couldn't get to sleep, EDBD - I hate it when that happens, especially when you know the kids are going to wake you up at their normal time in the morning!

DS2 woke up at some point, no idea when. I think I was on automatic pilot, just brought him into bed with us and then later on, I put him back in his cot! No idea when any of it was or how long he was in our bed! 😂

Funnily enough sat in the sunshine on my decking drinking and wolfing down 🍞 right now Malcolm...head a little fragile...might leave the vodka in the bottle and on the shelf this eve! 😂

Had a really lovely day with DD1 yesterday, just sitting on the sofa chatting, playing with the babies, etc. It was nice to just be 'normal' for a change!

Hoping that today is equally calm. We've got my BIL and his family coming round later, which will be nice.

Also had a great day yesterday. Went into town. Sat and had latte, watched the world go by and MNtted, met up with friend, bought myself some new clothes, picked up newly cleaned car from car park car wash place, chilled with friend at mine, went out for lovely dinner and wine and planned a little mini break away glamping with her and her family which my DD is going to be so thrilled about! So literally a happy day Hoping for more of the same today too!

DM took us to lunch in the Sainsbury's café, DD came home.

Morning! I slept through! A whole 7hrs I am soooo relieved. Still shattered but hopefully am turning a corner back into sleeping again....and relax...

Ha, I went to McDonalds for my Sunday dinner last night! DD had had a late roast at the ex's so didn't need feeding and I couldn't be bothered so...McDonalds it was! To put this into context I don't do McDonalds etc...I had to google where to go & satnav to get there...so that gives you some idea of my hangover yesterday...but it was def a guilty pleasure...and now I know where it is....

How's ED'sLad doing? Is he back out of hospital? Any update? Hoping all is well!

EDLad's recovering nicely, still in hospital as it hurts when he tries to move, I passed on a card and a gift card from DF to DM to give him. Families are complicated. Just post it to DM, FFS!

Glad everyone had a lovely Sunday! Mine was great too, BIL and his family came round for the afternoon/evening and all of the younger DCs had a brilliant time playing with their cousin.

Today has been nice too, if busy! DD1 seems to be responding well to the new routine we've set up and even gave me a hug yesterday! 😀 I know we've got a long way to go in terms of helping her to address her emotions, but I really feel like we've taken some positive steps forward over the past few days. I'm so relieved and also renewed, so I'm better placed to deal with it if when it happens again.

Sorry to hear ED'sLad is still in pain, EDBD. I hope that he becomes more comfortable soon and is able to get home at last. And yes, families can be hideously complicated at times!

Sassy - you slept through!!! I'm so glad! Sounds like you had a lovely, relaxing weekend, which obviously did the trick. The glamping sounds AMAZING, I really, really want to do it, but then when I looked into it, the price of the ones I liked were equal to a pretty swish trip abroad!!! 😂 Needless to say, we haven't been. Perhaps when I win the lottery...! Whereabouts are you going, if you don't mind my asking?

DS2 has got his MMR tomorrow, I'm not looking forward to potentially more sleepless nights! Here's hoping he doesn't mind it too much and doesn't suffer any ill-effects.

EDLad seemed very chirpy on the phone on Sunday, but then he doesn't talk much about his feelings, a bit like your DD1 Malcolm.

Glad things calmer and happier chez Malcolm, hoping the dreaded MMR went ok today? Poor mite. DD didn't do well with vaccinations so glad the early years jabs are behind us now.

Glamping will be reasonably local (Wilts) and on a farm stay place so plenty for the kids to see and do

Had fairly chilled day. Met friend haven't seen in ages for lunch so that was nice. Back to work tomorrow and will be a busy one so def need another sleep through!

I met a friend this evening, too, Sassy! Actually went out for dinner and everything, like a proper grown up!

I had a delicious mackerel and beetroot salad followed by a smoked salmon and cherry tomato Risotto. Was absolutely gorgeous!

DS2 not a happy chap today. Is all Calpoled up and I'm hoping he has a good sleep 🙏🏻.

Glad ED'sLad is sounding chirpy! Hopefully that's a sign that he's firmly on the mend and well on the way to going home!

Oh no, Sassy! Poor you, why do these things always happen when there's a busy day ahead?! Hope you're not feeling too bad.

DS2 slept through, but is still feeling very sorry for himself this morning. One of the injection sites is very red and raised.

So we're just going to stay at home today, I was thinking of going for a walk in the forest nearby, but it's absolutely chucking it down! So what with that and DS2, I think not!

Awww thanks for the EDBD, much appreciated Hope you've both had good days? Have felt like headless chicken at work today. Sooooo busy! Need to try and sit back and take stock a bit tomorrow because firefighting the whole time isn't getting me very far!

Very tired now....think will be heading to bed shortly. How's DS2 now Malcolm? EDBD make me jealous, what was supper tonight? I got home and couldn't be bothered....chicken roll and crisps! DD had eaten at ex's so just me to sort.

I started a shawl I want to make for my mum's birthday. It's not until August, but I want to give myself plenty of time! She's a fantastic knitter and has made so many things over the years for me and all of my children. I really want to make her something beautiful that she can use and know how much she is loved.

She loves bright colours, so I went for this yarn that I saw the same shawl worked up in. I'm really enjoying making it, this is what I've done yesterday and today.
