Ah, EDBD, I was up at the same time as you...ðŸ˜
DS2 woke up around 3, wouldn't go back to sleep until past 4, when I gave up and took him into bed with us. Second night in a row he's slept in our bed, but nothing else seems to work. I'm praying it's just a phase and that I'm not setting a precedent where he always wants to come in our bed.
I feel bloody shattered. Poor DH had to get up at 6.30 to get ready for work. I've got lots of stuff I need to do today but quite frankly, it's not going to get done because I feel like crap!
What's worse is that for some reason, I just couldn't get to sleep last night, even though I was shattered. It was gone midnight the last time I looked at my clock.
In happier news, for my birthday last December, my parents offered to take me to a West End show of my choice and a posh meal out. I've been looking, but nothing has jumped out at me - then a couple of days ago, I saw that the RSC are adapting a couple of my favourite books, the ones about Cicero by Robert Harris. The adaptation is by the same person who adapted Wolf Hall, which we also saw a couple of years ago so it should be really good. It's in Stratford, which is actually nearer and easier to get to from here and there are two plays instead of one, but I traded an expensive meal out for the other play and the travelling costs will be less as we can drive, instead of train and Tube.
It's not until December and January, but I'm so excited!
Also, DH went out to the city centre yesterday and went to Hotel Chocolat to their sale. He got me the most gorgeous egg with alcoholic chocolates in the middle, and another dark chocolate egg with almonds and marzipan. He knows me so well!
Anyway enough rambling on from me! Hope you all have a lovely day.
