The Easter bonnet parade was lovely, although cold and windy!

The big breakfast sandwich was also lovely!

EDLad's back in hospital with another chest infection, they've had to postpone the op until he's better.

Oh that's rubbish *EDBD ...hope there's an improvement soon

DS2 started crying about 20 mins ago, I was still downstairs. I was just about to go up to him when he stopped. Praying that's it for tonight!

I can't tell you how much better I feel today! I've accomplished more in the couple of hours I've been up than I did in the past week, it feels like.

Had a big breakfast today.

It could be worse EDBD.... If I were to meet him in person he'd def be subjected to a big Sassy hug , at least he's just getting virtual ones!

They'd have to be very gentle, he's a fragile little thing!

Picked DS2 up, had scallop and king prawn risotto for supper, picked DD up, she'd had supper at Adventure, DS2's asleep, DD's going to bed now.

I can do gentle too bless him, hoping for some positive news v soon!

Got DD back and it's been a bit of a rollercoaster...did her egg hunt and that was fabulous...but then she told me about some stuff the ex had told her (point scoring stuff) which literally floored me. Sigh....but she's home now and I can try and unpick some of the damage!

In other news the virtual bug is still alive and kicking Malcolm....TMI but given DS2 a run for his money a couple of times today! Hoping it eases as away at friend's this weekend!

Oh Sassy, I'm so sorry, both about the bug and about your DD. Sorry to say but your ex sounds like a twat if he's using a child to try and score points against you, but I guess that's why he's an ex .

I was thinking about you this evening and hoping that you were having a lovely reunion with DD - sorry you've had to deal with this. I suspect that if ex-H continues to behave in this way, it'll come back to bite him on the arse once DD is old enough to figure out for herself what he's up to. But I know that's probably of little comfort while you're having to deal with the fallout. coming your way from me.

EDBD - sorry if EDBD'sLad is embarrassed but I hope it brings him some comfort to know that there are some randoms on the internet rooting for him!!! Fingers crossed he's feeling better soon - is he back home or has he had to stay in hospital?

Praying for another decent night's sleep, but am prepared for it not to happen! Having been able to sleep last night has given me some reserves to work with!

Thanks Malcolm both for the flowers and your positive thoughts. Yes it's hard. ExDP (never H thankfully!) loves DD but point scores a lot as he wants to be her favourite. I do worry about the emotional impact on her because he has no filter at all and yes I find it very hard to parent properly both in the face of his provocation & the inevitable fall-out! Sigh...

Hmm..am hoping I get better soon. Been at work all day so not the best but got a couple of days for it to get out of my system before weekend away.

Morning! Urghhh...didn't get to bed until after midnight and took a while to sleep then was awake at 5am....headache already. x 3 plus an extra couple for me on their way Here's to a good day for all!

Oh dear, Sassy - do you think it's because you were worrying about DD? Poor you. Have a or two! Do you have much on today? Hoping you can take it easy.

DS2 did wake up last night, I think it was around 1.30ish. When he wouldn't settle I brought him into bed with us and fell asleep! At some point in the night I woke up and moved him back into his cot and he stayed there until the morning. So all in all, not too bad although this morning DH didn't even realise he'd woken up 😠!

Fortunately can take it easy today. Need to do various errands (inc. new school shoes) & chores but can spread them out over the next few days. Worrying about a few things but yes, having things on your mind isn't very sleep conducive!

Don't think DH is unusual in that respect. Women seem to be wired to keep one ear out. Men, not so much! But glad you managed some sleep last night Malcolm.

DD is still in bed! She always comes back exhausted from the ex & still hasn't woken. Clearly needs her sleep. Had about 13 hrs so far!

Mine have been known to do that Sassy. I find myself wondering what to do to with my morning and always end up on here.

Picked the DC up, had New York deli style salt beef and Cheddar melt for supper, DS2's asleep, DD's going now.

Hope your day been good EDBD? Your supper sounded nice. Homemade tuna pasta bake this end (no sauce jar cheats - tuna, sweetcorn, punnet of mushrooms, olives, feta cheese, chopped tomatoes, pasta, topped with cream cheese and grated cheddar....lush store cupboard comfort food & leftovers mean we can have it tomorrow too ).

After our late start had chilled day. Caught up with washing and a few other chores. I had to do a half hour emergency Hama bead 'hospital' when DD dug out various animal creations with missing limbs etc. Hate ironing at the best of times. Ironing fiddly bits of plastic?

Tired after my disturbed night. Hoping for a better sleep later. Hope you both have a nice evening.
