Me: oh I forgot to put them away. I was going to use them on that ketchup stain on something of DS1's but I didn't need it. Can you just put it back in the cupboard please?

Me: no. It's fine.
DH: (perusing box for a use by date) are you sure you didn't want to throw it away?
Me: (eye-rolling on the inside) throw it away then.
DH: no, it's okay, I'll just put it back in the cupboard.

Sorry about the trees and fence panels. Not much damage here apart from the pampas , a storage box in bits over the garden and the back gate which will now not lock due to a fence post which, like Helen's washing line post, was rotten at the bottom to start off with.

Well, DH has just spent an inordinate amount of money on a fecking electric golf trolley and here's me agonising over a 40 quid top. To be fair if I wanted to spend a similar amount on something he wouldn't quibble. I'm just mean with money.

We've been rewatching season 3, due to the fact that I thought we were going to lose the Tivo box with all the episodes on it when we had a new one yesterday, but it's now installed upstairs. Phew! I've got the DVDs of course, but it's so much easier to go straight to the episodes on the TV.

Apricot - I agree about the convenience about having stuff on the box rather than DVDs. But at least DVDs lets me cart them upstairs on my laptop as background while I work

I'm the same with stuff on the Sky box and DVDs. Just easier to press play than to have to make the effort of putting an actual disc in and changing it a bit later. No point trying to play anything like that in my ancient laptop.
