Hayloft for me. Time to continue with Paella's plan. Just as well Helen fluffed up the hay. I think my knees will welcome the cushioning.

Night wenches x

Morning.

um.

That's all. Soz - brain is a bit dead, DS joined us in bed at 4:50am...

LetUsPrey · 23/02/2017 08:14

Morning wenches.

Is already pissing it down here and windy. Hate wind. And we're not even getting the worst of it. Hate hate hate this kind of weather.

No idea what to suggest re DS Helen, just lots of sympathy. DS2 went through a very long phase of that. He's currently back on his "sleep refusing at bedtime, still getting up early" thing. Fab.

I'd quite like to not have to leave the house today, but I must. And it's Pottery programme tonight to look forward to.

No solution to DS really - get rid of his cold so he sleeps better and doesn't wake up and come through. It's not too bad - he went back to sleep and didn't squirm too much. It's just a bit of a squeeze. Though not as much of a squeeze as I suspect our next holiday will be when DS and I are sharing a double, and I suspect DH will retreat from the snoring in his triple room to come and join us. Oh well...

Fingers crossed we don't lose power or broadband today - that wouldn't be useful for getting some work done.

ApricotCrush · 23/02/2017 10:21

Morning. It's a bit rough out there! The beautiful pampas in our front garden has been flattened. It was tied up too, but the string has broken. Sad

What channel is The Vikings on Bads, or is it Netflix or something? I've seen it up to the first half of series 4.

LetUs hope you sort out your colleague today. Yes, Aneurin Barnard was in The White Queen. He was also Boris in War and Peace.

Good luck with applications Madame.

Nice new pics of Tom, but I hate that bloody waistcoat. I know the story behind it and understand why he's wearing it, but still....

July/August is terrible for Strike, everyone's on holiday. It's where the BBC stick programmes they're not very bothered about. I don't think that's when it airs though, I read it as times and dates to be determined on 1st July. Confused I think a Sunday 9.00pm slot at the beginning of Sepember would be ideal, or is that too much to hope for?

Have a good day all!

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 23/02/2017 10:33

Windy here too. Doris was doing a lovely job of drying the washing - right up until the pole snapped off at the ground and the washing hit the deck. Sad We did know it was starting to rot through, but... Confused Oh well - that's a new top-of-the-list job to be done.

Badders123 · 23/02/2017 10:50

It's on Amazon apes
I'm watching latest elementary ep ATM
Done loads of housework so am having a sit Down and a perve watching JLM

Badders123 · 23/02/2017 11:18

I've got to stand outside in this for 1.5 hours
Wow is meeeeee

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 23/02/2017 11:55

Wow indeed! Wink Make sure you're not blown away

Maybe you should suggest 'wet playtime' indoor activities?

ApricotCrush · 23/02/2017 14:04

Ah, I thought it was something like that Badders, it's supposed to be coming on the History channel some time. Hope you're alright and have now escaped the weather.

Oh dear Helen how annoying.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 23/02/2017 14:35

AIBU to wish I had a sherman tank to use for this afternoon's school run?

Badders123 · 23/02/2017 15:42

Well!!
THAT was fun!
Had to have an indoor play - just to dangerous to be outside for the children
Hate driving in this weather! Wheelie Nina all over our road 😖
Fence panels still on situ ATM
Some trees down
Very sleety rain
Glad ds1 took his raincoat

Badders123 · 23/02/2017 16:00

I've been crying on and off a lot today 😢
First it was the George Michael tribute at the brits set me off
Then I watched testament of youth with kit Harrington (based on Vera brittains biography)
Heartbreaking 😢

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 23/02/2017 19:04

Evening wenches. Blob started, great Angry
Watching GBBO and having a cuppa.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 23/02/2017 19:20

Selasi's yorkshirepuddings looks fantastic Smile

LetUsPrey · 23/02/2017 20:00

Evening wenches.

Everywench okay? Nothing blown away or broken too badly? We've got blown out and damaged fence panels but that's it so we got off very lightly.

Had a little snigger at "wet playtime" - we should definitely institute that in the Tav Grin

at Selasi's fantastic Yorkshire puddings

I've downloaded Testament of Youth Badderz. Watched the first 20 minutes or so the other night.

Pottery Throwdown just started.

Wine for blobbing / teary / blown away wenches.

Good news about strike - tbh I was going to say, I doubt they are going to air anything by jk rowling in a dead summertime slot - it is prime autumn telly, surely?

bads! Have you seen T2 yet?

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 23/02/2017 20:20

Funny how Yorkshire puddings sounds naughty Wink

LetUsPrey · 23/02/2017 20:24

Thanks for the Wine Madame.

Grin Wicked

The lovely contestant Ryan in Pottery Throwdown is looking all hot and tired and his hair's a bit messy after the challenge they've just done. As if he'd been doing something else....

I love watching stuff like this. GBBO, Sewing Bee, Pottery - talented people making lovely things. I think it's because I'm not even remotely talented like that Grin

Sodding DS has sodding nits. and WTAF happened to my post?! Angry

Did school run - tree count is x7 down - three thoughtfully fell into the fields, one had to be dragged off the road, two are having a little lie-down in our hedge, oneis having a lie-down in the middle of the garden. Sad

Off to do mega bedding wash

Badders123 · 23/02/2017 20:25

No I haven't Madame
Am waiting til my sister can come and see it with me
I really thought that strike would be autumn

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 23/02/2017 20:33

Doing what Letus? Halo

I also love shows like that, Project Runway is my favourite.

LetUsPrey · 23/02/2017 21:08

Shaaaaaggggggiiinnnnnggg Wicked Grin

Helen Sad re nits. And poor trees.

Pottery finished - some beautiful creations. And next week we get to see Ryan waking up in a tent. Woohoo!

Better go and get DS2 to bed. Got to find him first... he's upstairs somewhere. And then I've got the washing to sort which I'd forgotten about

You're very talented LetUs, you're just creative in other, more specialised areas Wink

We are all now combed to the point of, um, something very well combed.
