I am here. I am just knackered a lot and have had a migraine pretty much all week. It's on the way out I think now touch wood. Going to have as chilled a time as possible this weekend.

Saying that ds's playdate is about to arrive...

My goal this weekend is to book our summer holiday. Am thinking portugal. How do people go about booking holidays out of interest? I usually book a house and a flight separately on tinternet. It's rarely that great, or value for money. Just wondering if there are some secret tricks Im unaware of...

Some of them are quite wenchy but not remotely like us of course and some complain when it's mentioned who Luke's dating etc etc, so I really feel I can't post things like I wouldn't mind a Musketeer in my mouth

As far as holidays are concerned, if we're doing abroad, we've picked a rough date, narrowed it down to a few destinations, then just pick some all inclusive hotels and take it from there.

What a miserable day, I can't find any motivation to do anything.

I did order that top last night, and it arrived this morning. It's no wonder all the shops are closing down.

LetUs in recent years we've only been to the Czech Republic and it was all done online, last year being a carbon copy of the previous year. If it's a hotel book with them direct rather than through an agent, much cheaper. Whether you can do that with a house I'm not sure. Not much help here either, sorry.

We always book holiday stuff separately - apart from ski-ing, which we book so that we get everything sorted one one place and it's seamless from airport to chalet. Actually, seamless isn't necessarily the right word. It's all the same person's responsibility, so if the flight is late then the transfer has to wait (or a replacement has to be arranged) so we don't get stranded anywhere.

Lego Batman was fun, but I actually thought that Lego Movie was better. there's doubtless loads of little touches that I missed - apparently Bruce Wayne's car has the numberplate WAYNECAR (you may need to say it out loud, or in your head) but I missed that. So DS enjoyed it anyway, and was then a tired and whiney grot-bag when we went to do some shopping in the city. Then he saw a magazine and was sweetness and light - so I told him no dice. He has to be sweetness and light when he doesn't want something before he gets treats. #StroppyMother

The FB musketeer group is funny. There have been many a few times that I've typed a reply, then deleted it, because there are too many pearls waiting to be clutched there, and I can't be arsed. There are some serious loons on there though (I'm sure they're lovely, but... )

I've just checked and Big Little Lies is going to be on Sky Atlantic, starting in March. (Don't know if we already knew this). Saw a trailer for it earlier today.

Trying to get DS1 to do some revision. He's got a test first day back. He's had all week and has done nothing.

Looking forward to Taboo later. Interested to see how he gets out of his current situation.

So I saw Apricot's comment about the top, Wicked saying that she thought it obviously looks better on Apricot, and then "yes, unbuckle that belt baby!" I was all confused for a minute and then I read the thread properly and it allllll became clear
