As Apricot said, spring seems so far away and it's bloody cold.

Grab a hot musketeer to keep yourself warm wenches

Hope you went for the bath Badderz. Perhaps Athos wash your back and those other hard to reach places Wink

Wicked - sounds like a fairly typical family get together. Snuggle up with your lovely cats and watch something good. We might watch Captain America: Civil War later. If DS2 goes to sleep at a reasonable time that is.

I had a bath bomb called "dragons egg"
Was very nice
Ds2 seems a bit better now
Ds1 is downstairs watching tv
Dh has packed
Ready for 😴 now

Badders123 · 04/03/2017 20:37

Letus - none of my places are hard to reach 😂👍
I'm very accessible in every way

LetUsPrey · 04/03/2017 20:48

Dragon's egg is one of the ones that changes colours isn't it? Bath ends up lots of swirly colours. Lovely.

I bet Athos had some hard to reach places.

I have avoided these get togethers for ages because I think they're quite boring.

Oooh I would love a bath Smile

Badders123 · 04/03/2017 20:56

Yes it ended up a lovely orangey colour 😊

I have one called intergalactic that may have glitter in it 🤔

Pils have asked us for dinner tomorrow but tnh I'm not sure I can be bothered...ds1 has a football match so he will be knackered and ds2 is being a sod typical 8 year old

Meh

LetUsPrey · 04/03/2017 22:42

Intergalactic does have glitter in it Badderz. I avoid the glittery ones.

No Captain America for me tonight (no bloody change there then).

DH is rewinding bits of football saying "see look at this bit". I don't care. It even a tiny bit,

I'm knackered so I'm off up to the hayloft. Aidan's coming with me.

Night wenches x

Dh has left for his trip so ds2 very clingy unlike last night when he hated me
Not much planned for today

LetUsPrey · 05/03/2017 09:29

Morning wenches.

Raining again

Usual stuff here today. Sportingactivity, ironing, homework wrangling - all the exciting things.

OP posts:
Badders123 · 05/03/2017 10:32

Football cancelled
Ds2 and I have baked
I've done the ironing
2 loads of washing
Homework mostly done
So a loooong Sunday stretching ahead....

Badders123 · 05/03/2017 12:07

Letus...am now covered in glitter ✨
Made the bath water the most gorgeous blue shade though!
Nothing else to do today except make sure ds1 finishes his homework and ds2 does piano practise

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 05/03/2017 12:10

Morning!

  1. Births - midwife suggested naming DS 'Harry' for Houdini re. the speed of his escape/arrival - DH had to go looking for help "No, she'll be fine for hours yet, it's her first...." they said. Rapidly followed by "OMG right, yes ok." Midwife was lovely, hospital was lovely etc etc. No dramas.
  2. Family get-togethers. Mine are fun and full of rabid gossip and chatter from people catching up with each other. There is also a lot of bird-watching chat from retired relatives who have nothing better to do with their time. Grin
  3. Weather report - dry and sunny to start, followed by the current (correctly forecasted) pelting rain.
  4. Washing status - out on the heath-robinson line lashed to a tree for half an hour, then back in. New washing pole is still lying on the patio Hmm
  5. Glittery bath bombs are the work of the devil
  6. Chickens have been cleaned out and given new bedding to kick over into their food and water (because they're stupid like that)
  7. Kicks MrLetUs re. football and lack of Captain America
  8. Um... I think I'm done

In other news, there's an article been posted on twitter (Madame to translate Wink ) which says that Santi is filming a new series in Canada called 'Salvation'. Or this may not be news, but I don't remember hearing about it before.

Afternoon. Remind me never to get in a car with my mum again. The drive to IKEA went well, but when we drove home, mum gave completely wrong directions so we ended up getting lost and me getting really stressed. This always happens Confused I need Wine

Badders123 · 05/03/2017 14:53

Ds1 is enjoying his homework which is lifting all the murders in Titus andronicus
Cheery!

LetUsPrey · 05/03/2017 16:30

I don't remember seeing that before Helen!

I really want to go to IKEA. Did you get anything Wicked? Also, don't go on a drive with me. On numerous occasions when the DC were little and we were driving somewhere new, there was often a little voice to be heard saying "we're lost again aren't we mum?" Grin

That homework sounds interesting Badderz!

Ironing done. Watched some Being Human. Managed not to singe anything Grin

OP posts:
Badders123 · 05/03/2017 16:33

Well!
I misread "singe" as something else! 😳😂
We are now having a movie afternoon and currently on the first pirates of the Caribbean film
Next is ice age collision course
I must make plans for dinner at some
Point...

FancyFancy · 05/03/2017 17:44

Afternoon wenches - I am safely back home - well I'm safe & I didn't notice any carnage in my review view mirror......

I'm still having happy thoughts about Gibbs sorting out stroppy teens & then entertaining their mum

They did do that in the past madame - to let the mother recover after the birth, but I don't think it was standard pre-60s as it would only have been for hospital births which weren't the norm then.

ApricotCrush · 05/03/2017 17:58

Afternoon. Still pissing it down here.

The last big family get together I went to was an aunt's 90th and I met cousins I hadn't seen since we were children which was nice. We were all going round saying 'who are you?' I've got 21 cousins I think and I never see any of them. Both sets of grandparents had 8 children, 4 boys and 4 girls each, which was well balanced, but sadly there are only 2 aunts and one uncle left now. Sad

One midwife suggested I call DD Dawn as that was when she was born. Hmm

Buffy has gone home. Sad

Wine for WW.

Glad you enjoyed non italic your weekend Fancy.

Don't know what to cook for tea.

Badders123 · 05/03/2017 18:02

Apes...I tried to work out how many cousins I have - I got to 58 first cousins and stopped counting!
Dad was one of 5 and mum was one of 14 so quite a big family really....

LetUsPrey · 05/03/2017 19:23

Pleased you had a lovely weekend Fancy. Hope you had something tasty for tea Apricot.

I have three cousins. Not seen them since our grandma's funeral where they behaved like twats at the wake. We weren't close anyway.

OP posts:
Badders123 · 05/03/2017 19:28

I wouldn't recognise most of mine tbh
My siblings and I are the children of the youngest children of their families so most are a lot older than us

FancyFancy · 05/03/2017 19:56

DISASTER HAS STRUCK Shock

SOMEONE PASS THE SMELLING SALTS

MY JARS OF BISCOFF BISCUIT SPREAD HAVE BEEN RECALLED

LetUsPrey · 05/03/2017 20:03

OMG FANCY - ARE YOU OKAY?

What do you need? A JustGiving page? Numerous HBFs?

I've googled it. Bits of metal apparently. Suppose you could chew really carefully.
