So sad to hear about Zombie tonight & cant find a new thread now that the keep the home fires thread is full?
Is there one?
Such a wonderful woman who will be missed by so so many people.
No words seem enough, just wanted to raise a glass 🥃 to toast the legend that is Zombie & the legacy she's left behind.x

Morning! DH managed to wake DS2 at about 11.30 last night by having a massive coughing fit, which startled DS2 and made him cry. Then he just wouldn't go back to sleep (DS2 NOT DH, who started snoring! 😡)

He didn't properly go to sleep until 1.30, even after I fed him, changed him, cuddled him and took him into bed with me.

I had to get up at 6.30 as it's my turn to take DD1 to school today (I do a lift share).

Today is going to be mostly sponsored by caffeine!!!

Bath, I just had to drop DD1 into town for a dance exam. On my way home, I saw an advert for KFC's new Zinger Fries on a bus stop and it made me think of you and BathsLad! I'm hoping he's able to have some soon.

I've now got just over an hour in which to try and feed the youngest their lunch before I have to go back into town to collect DD1 from her exam and take her back to school! This is NOT the day to be feeling extra tired! 😞

Malcolm I'm grand thanks, at least till the the next bug does the round.

My oldest daughters deigned to actually come home (for one night before she buggers off to her dad's) so my DH's cousin is bringing his two kids over for the afternoon.

Mine's been pretty hectic, ferrying children here and there and then back again. Glad it's finally done. Just giving the two smallest their dinner and then they're off to bed and I'm going to sit quietly and do some crocheting.

And I may very well have a nice glass of Baileys to go with it!

Anyone doing anything nice over the weekend? We've got my brother-in-law, his partner and their daughter (my niece) coming round this afternoon, which will be lovely.

Unborn, hope you had a lovely day with your DH's cousin's children - can't work out what that makes them, cousins once removed or second cousins? I get really confused by all that!

No major plans this weekend so will be a relaxed one just DD & I which we're both looking forward to! In fact just got up to grab us both drinks and then snuggle back in bed to do some reading....bliss!

Urghhh...Saturday peace shattered...anyone want a cat with reflux? Wolfed her breakfast and then threw it up liberally in the hall. Cleaned up only for there to be a second bout....that I didn't spot at first and stepped in...in bare feet! Free cat? Anyone? Anyone?!

Morning! I woke up at 5.45, the DC woke up at 6.45, in the Sainsbury's café, the DC had junior breakfasts, I had a big breakfast.

I had a lovely time with BIL, SIL and Niece (3 years old). She played beautifully with all 5 children and they all enjoyed playing games with her, even 17 year-old DS1! DD1 made dinner for the children, a recipe for (very mild!) Burritos that she did at school recently. They all ate it right up, even DN, who can be quite particular with her food. All in all, it was a really lovely day.

Then I spent this evening working on my next crochet square and watching my Scandal box set. Perfect!

My DM is coming over tomorrow for a catch up, as they've been away on holiday for the past week.

Looking forward to not having to get 'up' up first thing in the morning, as well. Sunday is the only day I get to mooch around in my PJs in the morning as I have to take DD1 to dance on a Saturday.

Morning! All quiet here so far Hope everyone has a relaxing Sunday.

DS2 came in at 6.30 to tell me that he'd leaked on to his bed, he told me he couldn't play in his bed ( I'll get a towel) and couldn't have his tablet because Daddy doesn't know how to work it ( I do). When did he become so PA? So he's in bed on his tablet, DD's playing in bed, I'm drinking coffee and ignoring Match of the Day.

Malcolm you and BathsLad obviously have excellent taste!

Sassy BathsLad's OK, stoically putting up with the chemotherapy and the side effects. I want him to cry, but then I can't talk, I haven't cried either.

Peace shattered this end too Bath. DD in my bed trying to get the cat to join us. Cat is racing round madly & miaowing for breakfast that she'll probably throw up again Time for a very large !

Just read your update Bath It sounds like you are both doing what you need to, to cope with it all right now. Hugs for both of you x
