So sad to hear about Zombie tonight & cant find a new thread now that the keep the home fires thread is full?
Is there one?
Such a wonderful woman who will be missed by so so many people.
No words seem enough, just wanted to raise a glass 🥃 to toast the legend that is Zombie & the legacy she's left behind.x

Yes I do that, but she still throws it up Hmm Not always though....it's like cat sick Russian Roulette! Confused

BathshebaDarkstone · 26/02/2017 08:33

Sorry that made me laugh! Grin Have you tried asking in the Litter Tray?

BathshebaDarkstone · 26/02/2017 08:37

I don't have a cat, but my instinct would be to treat her like a human, no food, just water, cat milk if she can keep it down, then try her with a little bit of food tomorrow. If it goes on for 3 days, ring the vet. Flowers and cuddles for your cat.

SassynSane · 26/02/2017 09:02

Glad it made you laugh Bath, have to admit it made me grin as I typed it! She's always had it bless her since she was little, she's 16 mths now & it's just her weird thing...equivalent of reflux. Fortunately she can go for a fair few days and keep everything down so she's a healthy weight and happy and bouncy so something we all live with....just get a bit Hmm sometimes, especially when I step in it in bare feet! Thanks for the Flowers though Smile

BathshebaDarkstone · 26/02/2017 18:46

step in it in bare feet yeurch.

BathshebaDarkstone · 26/02/2017 18:52

DS2's making his book for World Book Day then bed. Grin

MalcolmTuckersOmniShambles · 26/02/2017 20:32

Evening! We're doing World Book Day too, Bath. I'm trying to convince DD2 that she should go as Hetty Feather, as we already have a Victorian outfit from a couple of years ago when her class visited a Victorian country house - but she's not having any of it at the moment! We shall see!

Sassy, I used to have four cats at one point and they all had their little quirks. One would quite regularly vomit back her food onto the carpet. Much as I loved them and miss them, I don't miss that!

Spent a lovely afternoon with my DM. Was really nice just to sit and natter while the children played rampaged around us.

SassynSane · 26/02/2017 20:53

Arghhhh! World Book Day! Much needed reminder this end but please tell me it's not tomorrow?? Sofa & trashy tv will need to be rapidly replaced with needle, thread & random stuff if it is!

Yes Bath....bare feet! I had to hobble into the kitchen from the hall yesterday morn to get to the sink to clean said feet and it was def yeuch! Sad Avoided the cat sick Russian Roulette today though...she's kept it down...yay!

Your Sunday sounds lovely Malcolm Smile

MalcolmTuckersOmniShambles · 26/02/2017 21:50

It's Thursday, Sassy. God, I hate it with a passion! I do understand that it's to inspire the imagination of children and encourage reading, but my God, don't they think about the parents?!!! 😂

SassynSane · 26/02/2017 22:40

Phew...dodged a bullet there...DD would never have forgiven me if it was tomorrow! Just looked on school website and they are running it on Fri but no choice - all DC have to wear their favourite book animal....time to check if any of DD's onesies still fit her and convince her that it's her favourite animal never going to work and I will be up sewing until the early hours of Friday....I already need Wine just thinking about it

Right hope everyone has peaceful nights & no WBD nightmares Grin

BathshebaDarkstone · 26/02/2017 23:01

Yes it's Thursday but their books have to be in on Tuesday and they're dressing up on Friday.

BathshebaDarkstone · 27/02/2017 04:32

Morning! Drinking coffee and watching BBC world news. GrinBrew

MalcolmTuckersOmniShambles · 27/02/2017 08:15

Morning! Just giving the little ones their breakfast before doing the school run.

Hope BathsLad is doing okay, Bath. Thinking of you both. Do you have an end date for the chemo or is it just ongoing until the tumour has gone?

Still not much luck convincing DD2 to be Hetty Feather, Sassy. She wants to be Susan from the Narnia series. With a bow and arrow, no less! If you knew DD2 and how desperately uncoordinated she is, you'd know that this is NOT a good idea, even with toy ones!

SassynSane · 27/02/2017 09:34

Morning all Brew

Ha - I have one of those Malcolm, DD is def of the uncoordinated type! I asked her about WBD this morn and she has resolutely decided on....a grey tabby cat! Nope, no fall back onesie for me....just grateful to you & Bath for the prompt, at least I have a few days to try and pull this off!!

Hope everyone has a good Monday Smile

BathshebaDarkstone · 27/02/2017 10:55

Morning! I had a ham and mushroom omelette today. This is what's left.

Not sure Malcolm I've just emailed him to ask. He's happy enough, at the lung hospital building Lego! Hmm

DD wanted to be Zoe from Ratburger, which meant she could have worn anything, then decided she wanted a shop bought costume instead. HmmGin

I may have had a brainwave for WBD!!!

If DD2 goes as Sophie from the BFG, she can go in PJs and a dressing gown! She'll love it and I have to do absolutely nothing! 😆

Stay tuned for updates...

Bath, that sounds gorgeous! 🤤

SassynSane · 27/02/2017 13:11

Ooh....cunning Malcolm Grin I have just ordered a few cat accessories off the internet & am about to hit a local charity shop in the hope of some inspiration!

Lego is good for the soul Bath. DD got a huge dragon for Christmas and got bored persuaded to watch the tv so I had a happy few hours building it! Keep us posted with any updates, sending you both hugs!

Can I just add....pancake day tomorrow! Yay!

SassynSane · 27/02/2017 14:21

Thank goodness for the charity shop! Will be bit big but hopefully will be able to fashion something enough tabby cat-like out of this! And relax Smile

MalcolmTuckersOmniShambles · 27/02/2017 17:23

Ooh Sassy, you're so clever! That's perfect.

DD2 loved the BFG idea! 😆

SassynSane · 27/02/2017 17:49

Yay! We clearly have this whole WBD down! Grin

BathshebaDarkstone · 27/02/2017 20:58

Malcolm the Sophie costume is genius!

Looks like WBD's sorted on this thread!

Had gammon steak, chips, broccoli and carrots, doing wash, made DD's snack for singing club, uniforms for tomorrow were put out yesterday. Grin

BathshebaDarkstone · 27/02/2017 21:01

No end date for the chemotherapy yet. Sad

BathshebaDarkstone · 27/02/2017 21:01

No end date for the chemotherapy yet. Sad

MalcolmTuckersOmniShambles · 27/02/2017 21:53

Bath, you're on fire! So sorry to hear about the continuous chemotherapy. That is truly crap. I will keep everything crossed that BathsLad gets an end date in the not too distant future.

Your dinner sounds delicious! I ended up just having some muesli, as I wasn't feeling very hungry - which is very unlike me! Although I have been trying to reduce my portion size recently as I was very overweight anyway and then having two babies in two years didn't help! So maybe it's working (although I'll probably be ravenous tomorrow!).

I've also finally managed to pull my finger out and organise myself a haircut and colour. It means asking my DM to watch the babies for an afternoon and they're away on holiday a lot! Anyway, I asked her on Sunday if she had any time free before they go away again and next Monday is the day! Unfortunately the only appointment the hairdresser has is at 2.15, so it means I've had to organise DD1 being picked up from her high school and DD2 being dropped back from her primary school. I'm lucky I have a lovely friend who is going to help out with DD2 and my DF is collecting DD1.

So the question remains - what colour to go for?! I've never had my hair professionally coloured before, although I've been doing it myself for a few years. Now the greys are well and truly starting to poke through and I've decided it's beyond me! I'm a light brown/auburn naturally, so I thought I'd go with that - maybe a bit more auburn than usual, as I really do love that colour! And maybe some highlights? Got to go and have a consultation and psych test on Wednesday so I was going to ask their advice then.

I'm really excited! I haven't had a haircut since July(!) and it's incredibly thick. I have to just pull it back in a ponytail otherwise it makes me too hot and it isn't exactly flattering! Plus DS2 likes to grab it and pull!

BathshebaDarkstone · 27/02/2017 21:57

Auburn sounds lovely. Smile

Thanks for your good wishes for BathsLad. Smile
