I've had a lovely lazy day mainly crocheting whilst simultaneously trying to wrangle small children! But lovely not to have to go anywhere or do anything for once.

Might have to pass on the medicinal Malcolm - decided I was well enough to go out & get some food in earlier, turned out not quite well enough to eat it just yet so taking self to bed & hopefully will turn a corner tomorrow! Glad you got your lazy day

Hope today has been ok for everyone.

Met DM, my aunt and DD in the Sainsbury's café, BathsLad's too ill to leave hospital , my aunt had to get her train, DS2 had fish fingers, mash and beans, DM, DD and I had lasagne, the DC shared a double chocolate choux bun and a warm chocolate pudding and cream for pudding, DM had triple chocolate fudge cake, I had Victoria sponge, did shopping, back home, the DC have done homework and are in bed, so am I now!

He always gets a chest infection after chemotherapy and his white cell count is very low, so there's no way they'd let him out.

Well hope he gets out soon! KFC are missing him Seriously though, hope the infection clears up v soon

Really sorry to hear that BathsLad is poorly, Bath. Hope his white blood cell count improves rapidly and that nasty chest infection gets fought off ASAP. If you don't mind my asking, does he get them because the chemo destroys his immune system meaning that the CF has an opportunity to cause a chest infection? Don't worry if you'd rather not say, I won't be offended. Thinking of you both. I bet he was really fed up to have missed out on the cafe though!

Sassy, make sure you take it easy today . No going out and about! In fact, I ORDER you to stay on the sofa and watch TV all day!!! 😉

Yes he was fed up about missing out on the café, he's missed out on everything, his birthday party, Christmas, seeing DD doing all her performances. He's supposed to be taking us all to see Lego Batman, I hope he's OK to go.

So do I Bath - I genuinely hope he gets to go to see it with you all. When he is well enough and is out you should do a celebration day - have a birthday cake with candles, do a Christmas dinner, stick on any film you have of DD doing her performances etc! Even if it is a random day in March! Hope he feels better soon, hugs Bath

And if he doesn't make the film - which am sure he will! - get the dvd & watch it post Christmas dinner haze! For reasons I won't go into DD and I had a pretty crappy Christmas a couple of years back so I did us a 2nd Christmas, just the two of us, in June! We had crackers and wore our hats all day and everything!
