I have been diy-ing today. After drinking wine at lunch. I will assess the wisdom of this in the morning in daylight

As a teen/adult I only ever got tonsilitis late December/early January badders. It's a right fucking pain, but I grew out of it late teens, with a relapse when the DC were small. Have been clear for years now luckily.

There is a small amount of discussion about bladder control when you are coughing for sneezing. UNless a HBF is readig this, in which case there is none whatsoever.

SisterHelen tries to unearth flat surfaces in the house from underneath piles of crap, and would rather do her tax return that tidy the house. SisterHelen is generally unimpressed with how much hassle Christmas is, and suffers from DS-induced sleep deprivation
Badders feels rough as f* and delegates as much as possible for DH, whilst watching TV/havig bathy, getting an early night.

Yes to a Christmas amnesty Madame, I would happily skip from 30th November to 1st January and miss December out altogether.

Apricot it's Tuesday 27th, which I think is a bank holiday. I recommend going back to bed and sleeping for another day to recover.

Xmas amnesty would be fab. What would be better in my case is to try and keep on top of the pigsty that develops in this house if I turn my back for 5 mins, because it would make the whole thig a lot less stressful if we started with a vaguely tidy house. Apparently, before they left, MiL told DH that I should give up work so I can keep the house tidy (I was back in bed at that point, in recovery from the 5am start) DH was very much 'WTAF? No - we do not live in the victorian age'. I would like to think she was meaning that she understands how much effort went into making the house tidy for their visit whilst also trying to work, but I strongly suspect that she actually meant that she though the house was a tip (still). DH is v. not-happy with her. I luffs DH
