apes, do you really hate musicals then? Grin

So early tree people, am genuinely interested - do you have real trees? If so, how do you keep them dropping before xmas? I darent buy a tree yet cos Im pretty sure with the underfloor heating it would be bald by christmas eve...

I know social media is ever more scary but I am really appreciating the psychic abilities of facebook to predict what gifts I would like to buy people / be bought, and putting posts to various cool online xmas gift shops in my feed. It's already made christmas shopping for dp and the dss's a fuckload easier...

LetUsPrey · 04/12/2016 10:11

We have a tree like Apricot's. Not real, lives in a box, had it for ages.

We have two.....real and fake
I LOVE musicals but since Lloyd Webber flew over in his private jet to vote in the lords for cuts to disability benefits I'm afraid I won't watch any of his
twat
I loved Shakespeare in love onstage that I saw a couple of years ago
'Twas fab
Not a musical though

Badders123 · 04/12/2016 10:26

ApricotCrush · 04/12/2016 10:44

Oh no Madame don't do that, it depends what it is really. To be honest I haven't seen a musical on stage since, well I can't remember the last one, so I'm probably being unfair to them.

FancyFancy · 04/12/2016 12:07

Afternoon, have been catching up on sleep today, really need to get out of bed now as I have in-laws & then parents arriving over the next couple of days, so need to make up the spare bed etc.

Have done no Christmas shopping at all yet

Badders123 · 04/12/2016 12:16

LetUsPrey · 04/12/2016 12:35

Done loads of shopping. All cards bought, although there's usually at least one I've forgotten which I only realise when I'm writing them.

DS1 went with me. He's still so easy to tease and wind up in a nice way Grin

I like the old style film musicals - Calamiy Jane, Seven Brides etc, High Society. Not seen a stage one since Cats about a billion years ago. McAvity(?) made a lasting impression.

Been to the vet, Sigrid's eye's not better so we're going to an eye specialist at the animal hospital on Tuesday. Really lucky to get an appointment that fast.
I'm stressing out, will drown my sorrows in a bag of Salt and vinegar crisps Sad

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 04/12/2016 13:33

Have been out for a walk in the lovely winter sunshine and watched birds flapping about and stuff. That included an unexpected jog because I stopped on route to blether with neighbours, then had to catch up after about 10 minutes. oops.
Also did a load of washing. And scrubbed the dining table because it was minging (never buy a stupid textured table-protector, they're a nightmare to keep clean).
Am living the high life - not.
Probably ought to have some lunch. If I can be bothered with moving off the sofa. Hmm

LetUsPrey · 04/12/2016 13:45

Poor Sigrid Sad. Hopefully it's just a case that she needs stronger eye medication.

Walk in the winter sun sounds lovely.

I must crack on with ironing. I think I shall have an accompaniment of West Wing.

PPS - about to enter homework hell but I'm up for pretty much anything...

MadamedeChevreuse · 04/12/2016 14:59

Get well soon Sigrid! Flowers

Ok - so wench theatre trip - let's make this thing real!!!!

Cheap London theatre tix go on sale tomorrow. The runs end feb 10. However informal canvassing of wenches has led to a likely date emerging, which quite a few can do. This is Jan 21st. Who can do this / who is in?

MadamedeChevreuse · 04/12/2016 15:06

Oh actually the tix go on sale on tues, not tomorrow. Here is the link to the list of cheap (er) shows:

www.getintolondontheatre.co.uk/shows/

Once people say they are in, we can in chaotic highly efficient wench fashion decide on a show and book tix asap.

So speak your branes - are you in, if so what shows take your fancy, and which definitely dont - here!

Let the wench up commence!!!

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 04/12/2016 15:16

I'm IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't care what we see
Other than wanting to be entertained, not traumatised.

ApricotCrush · 04/12/2016 16:01

Oh poor Sigrid. The eye specialist DD's cat sees here is very good, she has to have an annual check up.

As far as the theatre is concerned, no idea. I'll just sit back and see what others think Put me down as a maybe, because it is close to DH's birthday and I don't know what we're doing.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 04/12/2016 17:07

I'm moving that day so I'm out but I'm planning to visit in spring and I think we should see this musicalGrin
