Oh thank god for that - ScaredyCat has moved from my lap. She was snuggled up to me & being so cute and adorable that nothing short of a naked Aramis covered in biscuit spread beckoning me on would have induced me to move her.
I can have a bath now. Grin

No Madame he's thinking about you (And if he is thinking about me, then good luck to him. Not with a bargepole and wearing a HazMat suit. No way. )

Afternoon wenches.

Loving most of the decorations!

Badderz - yes, Helen is right. Off to the GP with you. Hope Apricot is recovering.

Was thrilled with last night's Strictly final Xmas Grin

Been to DS1's sportingactivity. Today's gems included "has everyone had a go on me" and "I want to go harder now". I might have strained something with the effort of not laughing Xmas Grin

Afternoon all.

Sounds like a chest infection Bads.

No, still not recovering LetUs, but I only coughed for an hour in the night, which was an improvement on the previous one.

Well, I've finished my wrapping Xmas Smile and we removed the insulation from the chimney this morning in readiness for log fires. It's a bit scary because we can get a soot fall, so everything has to be covered up and while DH has his head up there I have the hoover tube ready to suck up anything that comes out. Last year a dead pigeon fell down. Xmas Shock A few years ago we DH forgot about it, lit a fire on Christmas day and the house filled with smoke, just as I was serving the meal. Bit of a panic as we had a 3-month old DGS in the house at the time.

Hope everywench is having a good day.

A bit

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 18/12/2016 15:14

Can't you film that instructor discretely with your phone Letus Xmas Grin

Started going through some old boxes with stuff, repacking and making sure everything is clean, discovered some bugs I don't want to bring with me to the next place. Also ordered red cedar online, it's supposed to keep creepy stuff away. I'm starting to feel a bit like clean freak Xmas Confused

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 18/12/2016 15:24

Just paid off my car loan Xmas Smile

FancyFancy · 18/12/2016 16:37

FancyFancy · 18/12/2016 17:44

You could apricot, you tell them so well Grin

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 18/12/2016 18:06

Maybe you should write a book? The Adventures of Roy and Apes Xmas Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 18/12/2016 18:51

Oh LetUs - I love your HBI. Surely he must know what he's saying, and playing to the watching adults?! Fantastic. HBI watching should def. be on our list of things to do - we can be DS' 'godmothers' who come to watch him and snigger a lot

It's like the time we had an olympic gymnast come to DS' school to 'inspire' the children. Parents were invited to watch as well, and when he asked if there were any questions we (the mothers) were most inappropriate in the back row and sniggered in a very immature fashion. I think "Are you single" was the most repeatable one. Grin

LOL at flumpy Athos btw, that one is amusing rather than the Lemon-inspired nausea.

Hurrah for Wicked's lack of car loan, and for apricot's uneventful chimney-opening ceremony.

Off to check in on the new thread now...

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 18/12/2016 19:05

Have tried and failed (so far) to decorate the new thread. Ho hum. Here's to HBFs under the mistletoe duvet though Grin Wine

MadamedeChevreuse · 18/12/2016 20:15

I would totally read that.

No helen, it's definitely you he's flicking his tongue at. Mmmm. Sensual.

I finished most of my xmas shopping today, finished doing the tree, had a massive tidy up and discreetly boxed up a load of ds's old toys for charity shop / loft / bin.

MadamedeChevreuse · 18/12/2016 20:17

^ I would totally read The Adventures of Apes and Roy I mean.
