DS is sick, what would a good Italian mum cook for him? First time he is properly sick, I need to cook him something, even if he might not eat it...

Rosa5 · 20/04/2007 13:35

opps boat !

MaryP0p1 · 20/04/2007 13:39

Where are you Rosa?

Rosa5 · 20/04/2007 13:42

La bella Venezia ... But I see from the translators thread you are in Le Marche.. I lived in Senigallia for a summer !

MaryP0p1 · 20/04/2007 13:49

Just down the road from me. Can't understand why they built the most disgusting coloured hotel in the world next to the castle. Beautiful castle though

PippiLangstrump · 20/04/2007 13:56

Certo che siete le benvenute!!!

I didn't know you were in Venice Rosa, my favourite place!!

MaryPOp1 how long have you been there?

Rosa5 · 20/04/2007 14:01

When I was in Senigallia the hotels were tired and needing a re vamp. Also I could not understand why the railway ran right adjacent to the beach with a row of hotels sandwiched in the middle. My idea of a nightmare.
Pippi Venezia is nice at the mo ...just for a bit longer and then the humidity sets in and it is horrible. It is full of gite at the moment streams of children in yellow baseball caps !

MaryP0p1 · 21/04/2007 08:01

Its still the same. I've only visited venice once and it was lovely for a visit, is it difficult to live there?

Rosa5 · 23/04/2007 09:38

Its not easy you have to adjust 100% I miss not being able to park the car under the house having to ration the shopping - get what you can carry but we do get heavy stuff delivered. Most of all I miss gardens ! We are lucky as live near a park but it is not well maintained and play area is sooo small . I loved Le Marche when I was there it had that feeling of not yet being discovered by tourists. But that was a good few years ago.
