DS is sick, what would a good Italian mum cook for him? First time he is properly sick, I need to cook him something, even if he might not eat it...

Ciao Franca would you believe that most of San Candido is chiuso we want to do dopo pasqua and the place shuts. I wonder sometimes. There has been no snow everybody has been complaining lots of cancellations etc and now it has snowed ...lots of the stuff , no skiing on fake ice they close . Many places are closing now like from 25th March ! Oh well its not destino!

no! I can't believe it! do keep that address though, it really is a fantastic place... (fantastic walks and bicycle during the summer). so now, we have to think of something else... what about ponza? (though it's along drive). or flying to naples and go to ths fantastic place med usually go to, and I obviously forgot the name, because my brain's gone.

Palinuro e Marina di Camerota sono molto belli, ma saranno affollati a Pasqua....pieno di tedeschi (non ho niente contro i tedeschi by the way).

but she is going dopo pasqua, i think. yes palinurp is meravigkoso. we stopped there for a day on our way to sicily, back in 1995....(me and some friends drove to sicily and toured it con la tenda, in August... eravamo giovani...)

med, a few days ago I was really nasty to DD once, she was making such a fuss and di not want to go to bed and I was exhausted etc.. (no excuse). anyway I went into her room like lighting with what must have been the nastiest face and just put her down again, but very abruptedly. she was so scared she stopped crying for a bit and just looked at me with the biggest eyes I've ever seen. then when I left she immediately started crying, she was so scared when I went back. Oh I felt like c*p big time. I apologised profusely and I bet I was also excused but I still feel bad.

I guess it is only the beginning...

snow very bad this year, DB was working in val d'aosta and the ended the contract a month early because of no snow.

I've been to both when I was little - beautiful amazing places. go go if you can. tedeschi d'appertutto in italy from april to june and sept.

here was bellissimo too untill lunchtime. now it look like I'll need l'arca di noe to go home!

I have a slight problem with DH he is a Nord through and through and when I suggest Amalfi / Sorrento places which I like he changes the subject. I might get him south of Firenze one day ....I lie I did manage to get him to Montepulciano and also Gubbio so I guess half way there.
I am resigned now to spending the poco vacanza we have left here ( quel surprise) Oh well roll UK for 6 weeks this summer. But we do look as if we have 1 week in May that we might be able to squeeze something in. We will see.

Oh, that's a shame. Southern Italy is so beautiful and dramatic. I love it. As I said, it looks like we won't be able to go to Sicily this year, and I'm disperata.
