DS is sick, what would a good Italian mum cook for him? First time he is properly sick, I need to cook him something, even if he might not eat it...

Not that sure I know what your name means either (other than being a bit of water) but I wouldnt go calling someone a troll cause of that - especially doing it in a different language so I wouldnt understand.

mediterraneo · 12/03/2007 20:55

Sorry LieselVentouse I assumed you were asking us to speak Italian because you could speak it, didn't realise you didn't. Didn;t mean to offend.
Franca re: my tits, as you so elegantly put it, they are bigger and harder, but I am so flat chested at non pregnant times, that pregnancy does not affect them enormously.
I just want to know either way, I feel stuck in limbo.

mediterraneo · 12/03/2007 20:57

I want to learn Spanish too, the language of love.....

yeahhhh, group cuddle....

Ellbell · 12/03/2007 22:27

Med... secondo me sei incinta!

Liesel Von Trapp e' la figlia maggiore nel film The Sound of Music. E Ventouse presumibilmente perche' si tratta di un sito per le mamme!

Were you asking for more Italian on this thread? Or just wondering why people were posting in English? I think it's in order to talk about things Italian without excluding anyone who doesn't speak it.

LieselVentouse · 12/03/2007 23:04

I was the one who asked for more Italian - this has been a joke since beginning of thread since I looovvvvvvvveeeeeeee hearing Italians - think its so romantic

Ellbell · 12/03/2007 23:37

Baci baci baci, allora...! (Have been a bit intermittent on the thread, so probably missed earlier posts...) Why not come and do an Italian degree? No previous experience necessary!

Tanto gentile e tanto onesta pare
la donna mia quand'ella altrui saluta,
ch'ogne lingua deven tremando muta
e li occhi no l'ardiscon di guardare.

(Sod 'I'll teach you Italian'! Let's get straight onto the 'hard stuff'!)

lol at lotteria mestruale!
Will see the gp on Thursday I guess. I slept 11 hours last night, whatever I have makes me feel soooo relaxed.

Mi ricordo questi versi meravigliosi:
"Amor che a nullo amato amar perdona,
mi prese del costui piacer si forte,
che come vedi, ancora non m'abbandona.
Amor condusse noi ad una morte.
Caina attende chi a vita ci spense".

Mi viene da piangere a scrivere questi versi, ahhhhh Paolo e Francesca......

franca70 · 13/03/2007 09:41

Liesel, I've just seen you live in glasgow... damn! I live in devon, otherwise we could have met to speak a mix of italian/english and spanish.
In fondo all'anima cieli immensi
e immenso amore
e poi ancora ancora amore
amor per te
fiumi azzurri e colline e praterie
dove corrono dolcissime
le mie malinconie
l'universo trova spazio dentro me
ma il coraggio di vivere, quello ancora non c'e'

Rosa5 · 13/03/2007 13:11

Buongiorno da un caldo Veneto ..Fa troppo caldo qui .
Franca sorry you did not make it to Milan. But hope you had a nice day at the seaside.
Med hoping for a positive !.
Can't do any quotes in Italian and there are too many tra la las in my Italian songs to try and write a verse but my favourites are Most of Baglioni . Eros,Also rather like Venditti but have to say haven't watched San remo since 84 !

franca70 · 13/03/2007 14:18

How long have you been living in italy rosa? (rosa is my dd's middle name)

Ellbell · 13/03/2007 18:38

franca70 · 13/03/2007 18:42

is it george clooney?

Ellbell · 13/03/2007 18:44

Magari!

mediterraneo · 13/03/2007 19:20

Lol at JT or JL being the beautiful Dantista. You must be joking!!!! Both really amazing professors.
I was referring to EP who didn't teach the Dante course, but often recited verses by Dante, Leopardi and anybody else that took his fancy. Wonderful enthusiasm, wonderful man. Have you read anything by EP? Not a big fan of his novels.
I googled phantom pregnancy today, and it seems that it is a fairly rare condition, apparently Mary Queen of England in the 1500s was affected by it.

Rosa5 · 13/03/2007 20:19

Been here for 21 or is it 22 years now ...But in Venice for about 10.
Rosa happens to feature a fair bit on our lives hence the nickname.. Rose is dd middle name as well !!

franca70 · 13/03/2007 20:24
