Our beautiful leather clad lovelies have hung up their pauldrons, wrapped their thighs around their wenches horses and rode hard for the border. There'll be no more snogging in cupboards, or noshing on the Queen...s awful cooking. But we're not sad...oh no, we can keep this nonsense going ad infinitum, and there's plenty to look forward to as the Swaggerers stagger on in post muskie oblivion.

So keep the Cardinals finger flowing, and help yourself to the complementary Hot Chilean Nuts.

Now....S1 Ep1 anyone??

Can't believe you slept with the queen! how much of series 3 I missed!!
Poldark seems to have gone off the boil too from what I gather on mn?
Have been reminded how great RE was as Feron.

Badders123 · 21/09/2016 11:24

Ds1 is having a light lunch as he still feels ropey.
So do I tbh (banging head and sore throat and felt quite sick last night...)
But off to work I go.
Dh is popping in at lunch to see Ds1 is ok.
Taking ds2 to dr later about his elbow lumps as I haven't managed to get to hot pharmacist 😫
Well wenches...
My hair appt is booked for Nov 4th!! I just need to grow the colour out as much as I can...eek!
Also contemplating a tattoo classic mid life crisis :)
What do you think of this? (It's house stark sigil from GofT)

So far today at work I have been huffed at, tutted at, sighed at, snapped at, shouted at, and sworn at. And all before lunch. Super.

Am still loving Poldark. No off the boil going as far as I'm concerned. Things are being set up nicely IMO.

Yes to the tattoo Badderz.

MadamedeChevreuse · 21/09/2016 12:37

badders I cant believe you slept with the queen missed the climax of s3!!! Grin

Yay for hair job. Post pic of tat! Where are you thinking of having it?

I have no tattoos. I was just before the "tattoos totally normal and everyone has one" generation. So fuck it. Grin

letus sworn at Shock not by a colleague I hope??!! like that makes it better

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 21/09/2016 12:48

What bastards Letus Angry

LetUsPrey · 21/09/2016 13:22

The shouting and swearing was a client who has issues, but still.

The tutting and everything was bosses, people from other organisations, etc. Whatever - I've just had a delicious lunch, wrapped up some presents for a friend who's just had a baby and I have some gorgeous new shoes that I haven't tried on yet

Also I have the tavern and the wenches 😘 Grin

Badders123 · 21/09/2016 14:21

Who do I need to "visit" letus? Angry
I've just stepped on an upturned plug - OWWWWWWWWW
Have decided on reflection not to take ds2 to dr and try to see hot pharmacist instead Grin
I'm glad you like the tattoo idea letus - I wouldn't tell anyone - just get it done Wink
Are they terribly expensive? clueless

ApricotCrush · 21/09/2016 15:17

Afternoon.

Ouch Badders. Hope DSes are better soon. I'm of the no tattoo generation, I'm not keen, but a lot of people seem to have them nowadays.

KTAITFWF LetUs. Grin

Well, I've just spent the morning looking for scraps of material, buttons, ribbons etc. for DD who has to go into school tomorrow to help DGS to design and make a set of clothing for a child of the 60s with a Beatles theme. I assume it will be doll-sized, and made with glue but FFS, he's just turned 6. It's fortunate that it's her day off, but God help the poor mothers with 2 or 3 children who work full-time.

Honestly, the homework he gets is brutal, he has a project to do every week; they dread looking in his bag when he gets home. And then there's a dress-up day regularly which requires the purchase of an outfit. It would tip me over the edge.

I'm watching Poldark, but for some reason Demelza annoys me, not sure why. During the trial last week I thought if the camera panned to her one more time looking all teary-eyed, I would have screamed. Nice hat though.

Right, I'm going to make a cuppa and spend an hour with Cormoran(t). I assume we don't know who's playing Robin yet.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 21/09/2016 15:25

I'm on the third book now Smile

Badders123 · 21/09/2016 15:41

I haven't got past the sample on kindle yet! But it's my b day next month so I might buy them then.
My ds2 is 7 in year 3 and he gets;
Maths
Spellings
Reading
Every night.
That's not including projects

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 21/09/2016 19:17

Evening, have RBNR, and I ought to be upstairs trying to sort out DS who has stropped off in response to DH being cross with him

I had the most tedious day at work for 75% of the day, then got thrown a squillion "can you doooooo iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit NOW!!!' tasks. FFS people - advance planning is a thing you know?

Laters...

PS - Elk hurrah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wine [Athos] more Wine
*Fancy - that's a week with no red bull and more than a week without slabs of chocolate and daily exercise. Shock My shorts are still too tight though. Sad

LetUsPrey · 21/09/2016 19:42

Elk

I would be a snivelling ball of snot and unhappiness if DS2 came home with anything like the amount of homework Badderz and Apricot describe.

Ah Helen - "I've got an urgent job that I really need doing by the end of the day so what I'll do is not deal with it in the morning but leave it until about 30 minutes before close of business when you're already stressed and busy dealing with something for someone else" - that sort of thing?

Badders123 · 21/09/2016 19:50

It's ridiculous
Luckily ds is normally ok but occasionally even he gets fed up of it

FancyFancy · 21/09/2016 20:44

Evening wenches, wonder if elk is pissed yet? Grin
More Wine either way, sounds like you deserve it

If I can't pass you Wine, Red Bull or chocolate, what can I send you helen? Shock

Not sure on the prices badders, my intel is er, a little out of date. Grin Tattoos over bone are more painful than the ones somewhere more fleshy, that hasn't changed.

Bloody hell at the homework. That is mad Shock and totally not necessary - I thought primary homework had no measureable effect on attainment? Requiring so much parental input makes life hard for kids with working parents, unpupportive parents, non-English speaking parents etc etc. I'm in an arsey mood today - I'd recommend organising a mass boycott - Vive la Resistance!!!!

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 21/09/2016 20:46

Pretty much LetUs interspersed with "We've been on a jolly for most of the past two days, which we didn't bother inviting you to, and now we're back we shall tell you the urgent stuff we need to get done, which we didn't get done because we were busy having a jolly."

To be fair, they're all stressed out of their minds with the amount of work they've got on and could probably have lived quite happily without the 'jolly' which took them away from their desks, but certain job creation experts could have asked me to do the stuff they wanted done at any point in the past week so that I could have it ready and waiting for them this afternoon.

Need to go and stop tea burning...

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 21/09/2016 20:48

Oh - hello Fancy - you can always send me Athos Grin . Stupid cat is literally chasing his own tail. He's going to be very surprised when he catches it. Speaking of cats - how is Patty Madame?

And also Shock at homework.

Right, tea... (before the smoke alarms go off)

Badders123 · 21/09/2016 21:03

It's odd actually
When ds1started at the school one of the reasons we picked it was it's laid back attitude to homework (there wasn't really any)
VERY different now!
HT is desperate for an outstanding ofsted rating - hence the homework!

Cinnamoncookie · 21/09/2016 21:10

Maybe Elk could suggest that if MrElk's 'other girlfriend' was so wonderful, she will be providing hospitality in future?

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 21/09/2016 21:15

Good plan Cinn Grin

FancyFancy · 21/09/2016 21:43

Grin cinn

Did you set the smoke alarm off helen?

badders - if your school does a Parents' Survey, make your displeasure known! Or try Ofsted's Parent View, they won't want unhappy parents when the inspector visits
