Princess Diana regardless of her standing has got nothing to do with it. She wasn't just about to get married to someone was she and she wasn't in a current relationship but very much separated.

My definition is that it is a mysogynist term used of women in order to define them purely by their sexuality. It can be used of any woman at any time purely because she is a woman and it is used solely to denigrate women.
