J is tiny.

misspinkcat · 09/01/2007 12:16

here you are

wurlywurly · 09/01/2007 12:31

according to that my wedding ring is a U

Pann · 09/01/2007 12:36

I know my ring size - P. Anyone fitted for a ring will know this, surely??

( I mean their own ring size..not necessarily knowing mine...if you see what I mean.......oh shut up.)

wildwomanofborneo · 09/01/2007 12:40

But most people don't have a formal fitting for a ring til it's the engagement do they? Or I have been formerly maltreated and wrongfully deprived by my dh!!!

hunkermunker · 09/01/2007 12:44

I have little hands

Pann · 09/01/2007 13:01

but what lovely hands.....

no, they usually pull out that long metal thingy to test rings on, whether engagement or no????

misspinkcat · 09/01/2007 13:10

dh is a x

VeniVidiVickiQV · 09/01/2007 13:15

are we still talking engagement rings...?

DumbledoresGirl · 09/01/2007 13:44

That link is ludicrous. I know my ring finger is J too as it also happens to be the initial of my name, yet when I took my ring of and held it against the chart, the cricle was about twice the size of my ring. Surely that isn't measuring fingers?

Caligula · 09/01/2007 13:56

"I'll never defend a woman just because she is a women, but always judge her on her actions." Agree Northerner. But women are judged more harshly on their actions, particularly sexual, than men are.

"The actions of some women do a diservice to womankind, not the women who may use these names." When men commit sexual shenanigans, no one says the do a disservice to men - they're judged for themselves alone.

I personally think to use terms which define women by their sexual behaviour alone, thus ignoring the rest of their humanity, does do a disservice to womankind.

BTW the indignation is just as valid if it's a set up. I'm indignant about the coarseness and vulgarity of the programme, the individuals concerned (if there are any) are secondary in that context.

northerner · 09/01/2007 14:01

I actually do think the actions of some men do a disservice to men, just so happens this thread was about a woman.

Lets not forget the 'all men are bastards' chestnut coined because of philandering, cheating males.

OP posts:
Caligula · 09/01/2007 14:02

Oh I hate that all men are bastards thing.

I can't believe women still say it, tbh.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 09/01/2007 15:30

cant stop sniggering at all this talk of ring size [puerile]

DumbledoresGirl · 09/01/2007 15:38

Yes it is interesting isn't it? Women boasting about the smallness of their fingers! Can you imagine men boasting about the smallness of anything?

hitchcock · 09/01/2007 15:39

oh dear...... ultimate revenge .....priceless

VeniVidiVickiQV · 09/01/2007 16:01

Their ring size, DG???

DumbledoresGirl · 09/01/2007 17:14

Ok: our, all right: mine, well if I must, me, yes, me!!! I want to boast to the whole world that I have SMALL FINGERS!! (apparently - I had no idea J was considered small until I read this thread!)

Now bring on a man to boast about the smallness of any part of his body!

VeniVidiVickiQV · 09/01/2007 17:27

DG - you misunderstood

I meant men might want to boast about the smallness of their rings .......

DumbledoresGirl · 09/01/2007 17:31

Oops! I went off on one then didn't I? I just couldn't help boasting about the smallness of my finger!

Well, VVVQV, I will accept that when a bona fide man comes here and says it for himself.

Hmmmm I can smell burning. Off to check the dinner....

northerner · 09/01/2007 17:44

Me thinks DG does not have a dirty mind like vvv and is completeley last on this ring size debate.....

REminds me of being in A&E once with dh after his hand had been hit with a cricket bat. The nurse said 'Let me have a look at your ring, does it feel tight?'

He neraly lost it.......
