i didn't think it sounded scripted ... but who would ask how much it was worth?

nappyaddict · 09/01/2007 01:32

listened to all of it now ... i think it was a little unfair to humiliate her like that especially when it is meant for entertainment. and i thought calling her a slut or whatever it was, was a bit ott. now if her xdp was to call her a slut i reckon it would be within his right and if he was to say go over to her in a pub and pour a glass of wine on here or throw her clothes in the street fair enough. yes that would be public but not on live air which is a bit different if you ask me. i'm not sure why but it just is.

DaddyCoolLickingAtYourToes · 09/01/2007 02:53

i don't get the 'giving of a bj' thing. do women just give bjs willy nilly? i mean, how does a man just get a bj? are they making out and the women just goes down below and gives a bj out of the blue? what does she get out of it?... why haven't I ever had a bj from out of the blue? I mean I can understand the whole giving of a bj as part of the build up to the eventual shag but I can't understand the stopping at said bj. the man gets off, the woman gets stuck with a questionable taste in her mouth and sore knees.

what's the point? for her I mean.

OrmIrian · 09/01/2007 08:18

DaddyC - as I already said, promotion! Or possibly she had her eye on the upcoming pay rise. Otherwise I am told on MN that giving of bjs can be very enjoyable.... .

I can totally see that some of the words used here were quite uncalled for but I personally feel that her behaviour was quite horrible. I think they probably deserved each other. Something tells me that they are both feeling a bit regretful and embarrassed now. I hope they are. The whole thing is too yuk for words.

Caligula · 09/01/2007 09:52

Given the apparantly unironical use of mysogynist terms like slut, slapper, etc., on this thread, an interesting little article.

mind your language

Oh Daddycool.

UCM · 09/01/2007 11:19

Very good article. Made me think for a change Cal

littlemissbossy · 09/01/2007 11:23

Daddycool - don't you get women falling to their knees as you walk to work, go out for a spot of lunch or perhaps at the gym?? No! god what's wrong with you??

northerner · 09/01/2007 11:39

Some women do behave like sluts/slappers etc though, surely their behaviour should eb questioned fisrtly before we criticise the women who chastise them?

In an ideal world us women would all be like sisters and fight the same fight but that is never gooing to happen.

I'll never defend a woman just because she is a women, but always judge her on her actions.

The actions of some women do a diservice to womankind, not the women who may use these names.

Btw, I'm now not talking about BJ in a toilet woman, we seem to have moved on.......

Have just wasted 7 minutes of my life listening to this and GOD IN HEAVEN what puerile shit they put out on Galaxy. Whatever you think of the woman I don't think this is the way to deal with it. I bet if her fiancee was caught going down on another woman all his mates would think it was great.

Er, my friend has been married for 4 years. Her hubby has been shagging a waitress at work for 4 months. I will judge him. He is a absolute tosser and does not deserve his lovely soon to be ex wife.

Everybody judges even on first impressions.

Agree Socci. I also find the idea that a DJ/radio station would choose to be complicit in that spiteful revenge utterly offensive. How stupid do the media think we are that they could offer us this kind of of dumbed down, gutter level, bullshit as entertainment. It makes my blood boil.

God it's made me come over all middle-aged and indignant. How depressing.

JoolsToo · 09/01/2007 11:55

interesting article Caligula. Particularly like the section on single mother v absentee father - cause for thought!

In the end though, women are their own worst enemy dontcha think? Did you see the start of grumpy Old Women this week? Girls in the street baring their bum cracks to anyone willing to look, hoiking up their belt of a skirt to reveal the latest style of knicker or lack thereof. Drinking from bottles instead of a glass, and the language, oh the language! Modern woman certainly gives 'the boys' a run for their money. The last thing of their minds is whether someone calls them Miss or Ms or a group of them 'girls', they'd probably be too pissed to notice anyway. A lot of it comes down to a lack of respect and you have to respect yourself first.

As for Chris Moyles?

misspinkcat · 09/01/2007 11:56

Lol at " all she gets is sore knees"

misspinkcat · 09/01/2007 11:58

Its some kind of supplication. The woman kids herself she is in power but really she is being used. Read "raunch culture" a very good book.

Also hate posts on here that " if i Give dh a blow job he will buy me a xyz" . Pathetic.

wildwomanofborneo · 09/01/2007 12:05

I can't believe it was real personally. I don't know one single woman who would know her exact ring size off the top of her head unless she was gearing up for an engagement ring in which case she'd have known about the ring etc.

Also, nobody would ask how much a ring was and it seemed that he had already made a point of mentioning that it was £2000 a few times. Bit fishy.

If it is real well then, I guess, you reap what you sow.

misspinkcat · 09/01/2007 12:05

I do. DH knows his hat size he revealed at xmas.

hunkermunker · 09/01/2007 12:06

I know my ring size. It's J.

anniebear · 09/01/2007 12:07

Do you really think the woman would ask the shop all those questions? "when is he proposing" then talking about having babies

as if!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

wildwomanofborneo · 09/01/2007 12:08

I stand corrected then!

I just thought that given womanly fluctuations etc how could she be sure that ring size m would be right for that ring? If it was me I'd probably be thinking 'Lovely that he's chose it but I need to try it on'

anniebear · 09/01/2007 12:08

Nope that was defo a wind up, I don't beive for 1 minute it was real

she would have put the phone down straight away

anniebear · 09/01/2007 12:10

I agree with you wildwomanofborneo

I dont know my ring size

That was a set up, the woman sounded so false

wildwomanofborneo · 09/01/2007 12:10

Yeh, as if you'd start tell the jeweller about wanting babies. Nope, I don't buy it. I think all this indignation might be for nothing gals.....

anniebear · 09/01/2007 12:14

plus the jeweller must have a bit of sense and maybe has had to do this before, he wouldn't have let anything slip to the woman
