Badders Slightly sad but okay. FB nearly blew up yesterday as people are taking the announcement (together with the no episodes until next year) as absolute proof that PC is leaving and the sky is falling in - it's doing my head in!

They are obviously trying to stop the show syncing with Strictly - which makes sense!

Also it gives PC the chance to have a break and spend time with his family so hopefully that will be a chance for him to recharge the batteries as well - and they may even spend more time choosing the companion!

Flops down onto chaise. Have spent the afternoon in the garden, mowing because I was sick of the tufty wilderness that pretends to be a lawn, and filling wheelbarrows full of dead foliage and brambles from the alleged flower beds.

Helen Couldn't agree more - not just for the obvious reason - have been rewatching S1 and the Cardinal is one of PC's finest performances

We can agree on that liv - he really was excellent in it, much better than Rochefort. When I watched Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell I decided that MW's crappy voice for rochefort was based on his character's in that.

Yes Chris Chibnall has written quite a few episodes of DW. He also wrote Broadchurch.

I should totally fancy Rochefort - MW is kind of hot and Rochefort is a bit of a sexual deviant, but I think it's the shitty over the top panto acting!

The next Ep on my rewatch is A Good Soldier - that look between Dog and the Cardinal outside the prison cell is my favourite bit of the entire series, but I can't imagine Rochefort doing that because MW doesn't have the subtlety!

Well, I think the fug is finally clearing from the curry miasma. Truly horrific, take this as a warning wenches. Never cater to students with beer and veg curry.

So, on a less vomit-worthy note, went to see 'Bill the movie' at the cheapie showing at the pictures today with ds4. Both really enjoyed it. Is meant to go when it was first out but think was in Oz for most part. Recommended if you've not seen it yet. I rather like Mr Willbond. And of course Mat Baynton is a forever hero from the Morrisey/Dickens song in HH, and is also great in this.

Definitely will be Turban Tom watching tonight. Cannot wait. Will be having a nice hot bath to prepare.

In bad news, ds3 has broken our bloody garage door. Mr C has done a quick fix for now but I've got a horrible feeling we might have to get a new one, as it's always been a bit ropey and has a dent in (from when I drove into it ). Bollocks.

Ps ref Chris Chibnall. He wrote Broadchurch right? So he knows Tennant well. Let's hope he convinces DT to be in a load of 'two Doctor' episodes. Cos, essentially I luffed it with DT and haven't quite managed to like it enough since I'm afraid.....

It's the prison break scene obs. Yep I agree, one of my fave moments and capaldi does it brilliantly.

Also agree re dt comtesse though I am loving the pcap doctor too.
