What names would you have loved to have given your dds or dd but didn't have the guts to?

I was tempted to call my dd Milly as she was a millennium baby, but chickened out because my childhood cat was called Milly.

I called my daugher Arianna despite general misgivings - it suits her and I love it!

With DD2 I lived the name Millie but DPs surname rhymes with Pede! so she would have been forever known as Millie-pede!

Also like Caitlin but DP didn't, looking at her now there is no way she's looks like a Millie or a Caitlin.

Maybe I should have named her Insomnia

Ds1's middle name is Noah, and although he suits his more conventional first name, I often look at him and think he would have really suited Noah - should have been braver and gone for it as his first name!

I tried to convince dh with Esme with each dd but he was having none of it, I also liked Tobey for my ds but again he put his foot down. I chose all their names (but he thinks he did - except the last which was totally my choice) they're all 'normal' names!

I like Fingal for our next one, but dh not keen.

I see I've got a mention.

Don't do it love, it's been a nightmare.

We liked Felix, but it was a cat food at the time.

For those who wanted Elvis - my Grandmother's middle name is Elvis - really truly !!! So for us its a family name....but don't think we'd ever use it !

I'm going to have Pearl or Violet for my next dds. Even if dh protests, (my first dd has Violet as a middle name), those are the names I love and no others. If I'm going to be carrying the little darling for 9 months, suffering sickness, swollen ankles and general yuckiness then I think I have the right to choose, I'm officially the one with taste anyway!!!

I wanted Noah for eac of my 3 boys, but dh always put his foot down and none of our sons are Noah by first, second or 3. name...boohiss...if, by some freak accident I should ever be pg again and have a boy, I swear he will be called Noah, because I would believe that I am meant to have a Noah, and that would be the reason I would find myself pg against all odds, lol!

DD was going to be Hector if she were a boy, and if we have a son, that is what he will be called, love it....turn of the century lord of the manor ( a bit Sebastian) stroke Latin ganster!

Oh dh wanted Merlin and Orion for the first 2 ds's...no regretts here that I didn't cave in to that, lol!

Don't care 3 and no more- all great names have some bad connotations for someone somewhere, otherwise they would be too boring and safe! Love Noah, by the way!!

Ys was almost called frederik...and if we were in germany we would have called him that...but I dislike the shortening of names in general and I know it would have been shortened to Freddie/Fred over here, which I don't like that much!

dp wanted to call ds2 'rocky'-wonder where he got that from?!

liked 'yves' for ds1-sooooooo glad i didnt!

as for if i had girls-ds1 would have been 'ebony' (OMG what was i thinking) or 'paige' (thats not so bad is it?)
