PeachyIsNowAChristmasFruit · 18/12/2006 15:05

Dh wanted Anakin

I wanted James before I got the name Peach

REALLY anted to call DS3 Darwin, would do if we had another, but don't regrret it.

expatinscotland · 18/12/2006 15:05

Yes, Jack from Lost was in Party of Five.

Even then, he was a happily married father of two - they're now expecting a third child.

His wife is Italian and they live mostly in Italy.

ediemcreedie · 18/12/2006 15:06

Wanker.
That would have been good.

expatinscotland · 18/12/2006 15:07

In America, people would have thought Wanker very unique and original.

Clary · 18/12/2006 15:12

I always liked Mabel. DH refused. Also fond of Gabriel. And Raphael.
Do like the names my DCs have tho. Never regretted DS1's name in partic, I love it even tho it raised some eyebrows at the time.

Lol at all the Xaviers! We have a Xavier Xiros at school. He's so at the end of the register!

mousiemousie · 18/12/2006 15:17

Anouk

hoxtonchick · 18/12/2006 19:46

they used to live in hackney dino, have now moved to walthamstow...

dd was almost minnie. to go with ds who's max (and we call maxi). but it probably wouldn't have been funny in 20 years. i liked caspar for ds, but dp was having none of it.

onzephyrstdayofchristmas · 18/12/2006 20:07

Omg! Was that really Jack in party of five?!?!

onzephyrstdayofchristmas · 18/12/2006 20:09

bettythebauble my dd was born on christmas day too! How are you finding it with b'day parties and things?

singersgirl · 18/12/2006 20:14

Love, love, love Rex. But DH thought it too dog-like .
Really liked Clement (would have called him Clem).
Also love Gabriel, which my niece has just used for her little boy.
And possibly Edmund.

interstellar · 18/12/2006 20:21

Oh Hoxtonchick if you could just keep on shuddering at the thought of Walthamstow, and pass it round your way ,thanks! that way we can keep all you ridiculous people the right side of the murder mile. I mean, hackney has sooo much more going for it!!!Praps not so many toddlers with mullets and Che Guvara t-shirts called Otto ,but hey-ho....

interstellar · 18/12/2006 20:23

WOOPS,obvs meant E17 is not overflowing with Ottos and Esmes!

hoxtonchick · 18/12/2006 20:50

whoops, sorry interstellar .

climbingrosie · 18/12/2006 20:58

My name's mentioned a few times here! My parents gave all four of their daughters unusualy names and I remember as children wishing we had more normal names but now we all like them!

I liked Phoenix for a boy but settled for Felix instead.

interstellar · 18/12/2006 20:58

I was being tongue in cheek HC,being an ex Dalstonchick myself!!! And my ds name does have a touch of the E8's!!!

crunchie · 18/12/2006 21:00

Hermione as a middle name, did maria instead as it is a family name. Still wish we had done XXX Hermione Maria XXX

Aderyn · 18/12/2006 21:03

Soren
Evan
Elliot
Rufus

.....if I had a boy

I have 2 girls though with boring but pretty names. If I had a son he'd probably have been a James.

hoxtonchick · 18/12/2006 21:04

ha ha, i am being dim interstellar . loads of our friends have moved to e17 as hackney prices are so silly. so what's your ds called?

welshboris · 18/12/2006 21:05

DD was called Tallulah Belle right up until the registry office when I had a huge fight with her dad. In the end we chose Madison which I loved anyway.

I also liked Presley.

donnie · 18/12/2006 21:06

caravaggio

seurat

aubrey ( as in beardsley)

reubens.

taffy101 · 18/12/2006 21:08

octavia - was born in october, but had a boy anyways!

bettythebauble · 18/12/2006 21:27

It's so difficult! She's 4 this year, so we're giving her a party on the 22nd at a local community hall. I thought it would not go down well with parents, but most friends can come, and I'm luring parents to stay with mulled wine and mince pies

LoveMyGirls · 18/12/2006 21:31

Angel - not sure if i would have regreted it.

moljam · 18/12/2006 21:34

oscar and kai for boys wasnt allowed and for girls honey, coco and lilly.
i think none would suit my dd or ds's now though and each of there names have quite a lot of meaning for us.

helsyslittlehelper · 18/12/2006 21:39

Dd1 was Lily Morgan until my (drunk, Welsh) dad said it and it came out as "llllllllllllllllllllllleee" so we changed it quick, and dd2 was Isabella Eve until my nana (Welsh matriarch) said "well I won't call her that, it's stupid" and we also realised she didn't look like an Isabella, so they now have "classic" but pretty names.
