Couldn't sleep last night. Drop off to summer school in a bit for big DS. Not much else today other than washing due to acute case of can't be arsed.

I sometimes call dh puss in boots as he does the big eyes to get his way (nlt - just mundane stuff) or to be forgiven for stuff. Or I call him princess Diana.

The athos grumpy cat pictures also reminded me of dh (basically he is more cat than human).

Thanks for the water and pills. I actually feel fine. #proseccopower in spite of my friend buying five jaeger bombs and only two of us willing to drink them. They were my school mum friends and friend announced to the entire pub that we were celebrating my degree and everyone clapped and it was all a bit funny.

I then decided I couldn't be bothered to get up so am on my way to work now but have bought myself an hour so going to have breakfast first.

Well, off to take ds2 to his eye test and then to see the minion film this afternoon.
Dh is at the dr - think he needs an op as he has trigger finger and can't have any more steroid injections.
I may go to ikea tomorrow.

Do you know what I am looking forward to? Holiday on Tuesday. On Wednesday we will go to the beach and that moment where you dive into the water and for those few moments there is nothing else and it is really cold and refreshing in the heat. I bloody can't wait. DH has asked me to find some Internet device in homecountry but I am just not going to.

I think I might be odd.
I find holidays quite stressful! Maybe it's the kids :)
Of course last year we went with mum which didn't help!

The op will be free on the NHS. Annoyingly they are doing more steroid injections. Which is stupid. He will need the op eventually. He is just putting off the inevitable because he is a scaredy cat. It's done under local fgs!

It helps that this is my childhood holiday destination so I have lots of extended family around, the people at the beach know us etc, my parents will be there, my cousins will be there. Plus my parents have a house and there is not much to do except the beach really so we just go and potter all day, no stress of occupying them or anything. We are travelling to crap city for a wedding so that might be stressful but because I have been going to this island since I was a child I have a real emotional attachment to it. It makes me feel really serene. I can literally sit for hours just looking at the water.

Afternoon!

First full day of school holidays. DrIssy did yesterday afternoon, I'm now in house by self as ds1 has disappeared next door to play Match Attacks (ds2 at nursery - have to pay for all year so why not?). Did insist ds1 help out in morning with various household things, so we've topped and tailed gooseberries, made them into jam and turned mushy bananas into cakes, and taken in one load of washing and hung out another. I may have used up all his helping out goodwill in one morning

Now do I get on with writing paper, or take the rare opportunity to put feet up with a cuppa and a film (or possibly dvd)?
