Right, just had a very stressful morning where someone at sanctuary who obviously didn't have a clue what was going on, told me that the house wasn't empty and a load of other crap.
I demanded to speak to the person i spoke to the other day and this is how the conversation went.

ME : I am very confused and stressed out, can you please explain exactly what is going on.

HER : We have completed you rent check which has come back fine, and now we just have to get the surveyor to inspect your flat, we have emailed him and are waiting for a reply to let us know when he can do it.

ME : So if the inspection is o.k am i then going to be offered the house ??

HER : YES

So that must mean i have it right. I know the inspection will be fine.

I still can't quite believe it, what do you think ??

i found out today that the people in the flat over the rd moved into a 3bed house with garage, they have one kid and only had 22points!! a few years back u needed well over 100points to get a place. so heres hoping we get a place with a garden this summer!!

What good news
I hope you will be really happy now that you have got away from those awful neighbours and in to the kind of home you deserve

Nutcracker · 07/05/2004 19:09

Blimey Misdee, how did they manage that. Lets hope my good luck rubs of on you

The gardens of the 3 beds are quite big so i'm assuming this will be the same or slightly bigger. I really don't mind.

come on Misdee, need to chat to u!

Nutcracker · 07/05/2004 19:21

I had 300 points and was told i wouldn't even get a cardboard box with that. Then i got medical points and was given 1000 points. They then offered me the maisonette.

It was the H/A that have offered me the house and i had 130 points but there points system is different.

Nutcracker, my earlier post congratulating you seems to have gone on holiday in cyberspace (I proably forgot to post). I'm really pleased for you and your family - happy gardening!

baldrick · 07/05/2004 21:37

Fantastic news for you Nutcracker, at long last.....wishing you a lot of luck, would be happy to chat about any gardening issues if you want to...Lots of love Baldrickxxxxx

Nutcracker · 07/05/2004 21:40

Will definatly take you up on that offer when i've seen the garden. Think it's been left in a bit of a state and i'm not sure if the H/A will do anything to it or not.

Thanks

I've told the kids

Just couldn't wait any longer. Drove round and showed them the house on our way out today. I think they were a bit shocked, but are now rambling on about what they want for the garden and their rooms.

DD2 has put in a request for a cat and dog (damn, knew there was a down side to having a garden )

Oh Nutty, its just such good news, I am so happy for you!
When do you move?

Nutcracker · 09/05/2004 17:51

Not too sure yet Lisa. Surveyor needs to check what needs doing and then he said he will get it all done as soon as poss. Hopefully no longer than 6 weeks. Could be as little as 2/3
All i know is that they need to fit new back and front doors, all new internal doors (all kicked in you see) and probably fix the kitchen.
They said they may decorate (paint every room magnolia) or give me a decorating alownce (which i would actually use for flooring)

I have asked my friend to look out for a couple of stair gates for me as she's always at car boots.
Have loads of ideas for the girls room, just can't wait to get started

That's fantastic, nutcracker. You will let us know if you need anything for your new home, won't you? Even if it's just stuff you could do with people looking out for at car boots, etc.

Lisa78 · 09/05/2004 18:10

God its so exiting! You have to keep us updated with EVERYTHING you are doing to it!

Nutcracker · 09/05/2004 18:30

Will do GA. I'm going to start making a list of what we'll need so i can keep my eyes open whilst i'm out.

Lisa - Wouldn't dream of not giving MN a running comentary
