Right, just had a very stressful morning where someone at sanctuary who obviously didn't have a clue what was going on, told me that the house wasn't empty and a load of other crap.
I demanded to speak to the person i spoke to the other day and this is how the conversation went.

ME : I am very confused and stressed out, can you please explain exactly what is going on.

HER : We have completed you rent check which has come back fine, and now we just have to get the surveyor to inspect your flat, we have emailed him and are waiting for a reply to let us know when he can do it.

ME : So if the inspection is o.k am i then going to be offered the house ??

HER : YES

So that must mean i have it right. I know the inspection will be fine.

I still can't quite believe it, what do you think ??

How old are your kids Nutty? I'm sure we can find some outdoor toys around somewhere....

Nutcracker · 05/05/2004 15:58

Coddy - No reason to feel guilty, i would never have though of starting a thread on it, so it's down to you

Janh - Thats lovely of you, we have got a golf set actually. Only ever been used for whacking people round the head so far

My kids list for the garden and their room gets longer by the day. Dd2 wants one of those beds with the slides, have to think of a good excuse i think.

wow your kids will ove it!
Is the garden big or average new house size?

Codswallop · 05/05/2004 16:04

hammock for you obv!

Nutcracker · 05/05/2004 16:12

Well from what ir remember the fgarden is pretty big really. My friend has a 3 bed house round there and her gardens a good size, so it should be the same or bigger.

Suppose i'll have to learn how to do the gardening now . Blimey i'll have to by a lawnmower, or a goat

Fab news Nutty - I am so pleased for you all.

gold123 · 05/05/2004 16:28

My dd had one of those beds with a slide when she was 2.5, we had another 2 kids round to play one day and they decided to use it a a trampoline (combined weight of about 6 stone) and the bottom collapsed - end of that, also quite awkward to give bedtime cuddles in. Look good though and fun to slide down in the morning. So pleased for you, hope all continues to go well for you. x

Nutty I want your address to send you a housewarming pressie - can you please contact me - I won't take no for an answer either - I am pregnant and angry - don't make me any angrier!!

mieow · 06/05/2004 11:24

any news yet??

Nutcracker · 06/05/2004 12:01

Right, he's been. What a laugh, after all that painting and tidying up he didn't even look round.

He just came into the living room explained why they have to check things and that was that.

He asked us where we were moving to and he said he knows it's in a mess but he hasn't been in there yet. He reckons though that it will only be 2/3 weeks until it's done (insert shocked emoticon). He said they may completly do the whole house or leave some of it and give us a decorating allowance instead. I don't really mind either.
God i'm sooooooooo excited, and still very much in shock.
It's still top secret though, i won't tell anyone until we have it in writing, as there are some people that may complain.

Nutcracker · 06/05/2004 12:47

I'm hoping they will ring me to offically offer it to me tommorow which should then be followed by written offer early next week i assume.

Had a bit of a panic about the fact that it will probably be 4 weeks rather than 8 but i don't really care.
Will have to ask family for Floors to go vouchers for my birthday i think
