Cinn's play was wenchtastic yesterday - really funny even if you weren't sniggering everytime someone said 'wench', with fab music choices. The whole audience seemed to have a great time, but not as great as anne & I when 4 male actors did a Musketteers-esque 'All for One' hands together thing. Brill. I doubt anyone else in the audience analysed the snug white trousers quite so thoroughly either.

Is it ok to want to kill your dp on father's day? Mr M and I have had a disagreement about the Simpsons.

Him - Marge is a terrible mother with a gambling problem and does nothing whilst Homers working all the time at the power plant.
Me - you are not respecting her role and responsibilities as a SAHM. And she puts up with Homer.
Him - homer pays for all her fags as she's obviously a smoker and she just whinges and moans.
Me - her contribution to the the family enables homer to work without forking out for childcare. Your problem is your not giving value to her role because it's unpaid.
Him - she gives SAHMs a bad name.
Me - I can't believe you call yourself a feminist

We have the same argument every fucking time we watch the Simpson's.

Totally ok mouse. I really dislike the whole Marge/Homer dynamic in The Simpsons. He's a shit father & husband (totally overthinking a cartoon here), completely selfish & always fucking things up - a bigger child than any of the actual children. But because he 'really loves her', he's always forgiven & never learns.

I find the whole show really 'blokey' and the 'useless man' theme is like all those shitty adverts with men who are incompetent at home & family stuff, so the women have to step in & do it all. Still. But I guess I'm one of those humourless feminists

Afternoon all. About 11 hours ago I tried to post, but then discovered that DH has our router on auto-turn off between midnight at 6am (can't remember why we decided to do that, but oh well.) So you missed my scintillating post about the thunderstorm last night, the 1 inch of rain sitting in the cat bowls outsdie, the WTAF look that stupid cat gave me when I came down for breakfast before 5am, and the fact that I gave the tavern the once-over even though I couldn't get in

So there we go.

In dream news I had a weird one about going on hols with friends or maybe school to some foreign place and getting pick-pocketed of stuff and also (possibly) lost then a wierd one (possibly Harry Potter inspired) where someone left some cursed twigs in front of the house so we burnt them in the wood burner, and then as a result I was chased though the house by a giant line of light on the floor which was acting like a barcode scanner to identify me (WTAF again). And then we tried to stop it by singing 'Word Up' - which I had to google (in my dream) to get the words. Apparently my subconcious knows most of the words already. Really? WTAF is my sobconcious (freudian typo) doing? I mean we had a thunderstorm here - could my subconcious not have inserted a hayloft and HBF into my dreamscape?
