Evening all. Slight change of tack - can I ask your thoughts / experiences on hormonal contraception?

I may be wrong but dont think we've ever discussed this much in the tav.

Gp suggested I might go on mirena coil for migraines. Am a bit cos of the side effect horror stories. Also, according to what Ive been reading, I dont think it's actually the best thing available for menstrual migraine.

My only experience is of pills and not for migraine. I'm currently on marvellon for various pain in the arse menstrual symptoms and very happy with it. No idea if it'd be good for migraines so over to other wenches.

I haven't had a coil myself but my colleague at work has one - she swears by it! She's had no side effects and she is the only one in the entire office who doesn't go batshit crazy once a month!

I was on the tricyclic pill for many years with no problems at all - I only came off it when I became long terms single
